Lol! the hunting one I didn't pay for as it was with clients. And I didn't get the chance to shoot something as there were too many guys there, and not enough guns. So we let the rookies have a go first.

The Durbs trip is me and my Fiancee's yearly trip to her parents this time of the year...

This has got nothing to do with provincialism. You're right Stander did leave because he didn't get game time while guys ahead of him didn't perform ie. Spies, Potgieters etc. Luckily Arno Botha got his chance now and he grabbed it with both hands. Don't even get me started on Daniel and Kankowski, good provincial players but that is where it ends. Marcell Coetzee really hasn't done enough this year to warrant his inclusion, flash in the pan comes to mind. I'd pick Kolisi in front of him. Maybe it's just me but Vermeulen never set the world alight, apart from the fact that I don't like the guy it always seems he is involved in more off the ball stuff than actually playing rugby, like that Tiaan Liebenberg paloeka.

I've never had an issue with picking overseas based players, this is where rugby needs to transform and become more like soccer.

I feel like you aren't really looking at the big picture in some cases.
Stander was a better ball carrier, but had a lower work rate and worse in the tackle area than Kolisi.
Daniels is a good player but his style of play would be better suited to a rugby team that plays looser than we ever have.
We miss Vermeulen when he isn't there, our breakdown presence particularly protecting our own ball just isn't the same.


Samoa will give us a good run, they are the type of team that one line-break can lead to tries. We need to be very well organised or they could put some points on us!

Pretoria - 1,350 m (4,500 ft) but certainly does not feel lower when traveling between the two daily.
Regarding the altitude factor there is no diffs for the players
Really thought they are more or less the same being only 60km apart

Chucking a 4,000+ word document at someone and saying "read this" - isn't a counter argument which validates your nonsensical points. I did bother to read it and all I extrapolated from that was South Africa's high altitude effects performance. Nothing to do with countering Ezequiel's point which is that J'berg is at a higher altitude than Pretoria, and therefore playing at Loftus's altitude wouldn't be a harder challenge like you claim.

Now had you talked about the atmosphere around the stadium - which makes it a challenging place to play then fair enough. But instead you provide a link which talks about altitude. Once again I can't help feel you'd do very poorly in any kind of academic pursuit - as not only are your arguments usually unsound and invalid - but your referencing is lazy and does little to back your points.

This is the sequence of this argument. What is your point? You ***** about Ellis Park not being the same as Loftus, because at Loftus there's a bigger advantage due to altitude.

Johannesburg is higher than Pretoria, FACT.

What makes Loftus a harder place to play? Because the altitude cannot be one of them. If anything, Pretoria is easier to play for coastal teams like the Sharks, Crusaders, Stormers, Samoa, Fiji and any European country. Why? Because Pretoria is closer to sea level than Jo'burg. Therefor it's less of a strain on the body. Not making it easy, but Jo'burg is still higher and more difficult to play because of that.
