Would it be fair to say Baa Baas are favourites. That's an impressive team and I'm glad the Baa Baas are giving Jennings the goodbye he deserved and Leinster coaches wouldn't.

Considering Ireland has first/second choicers in (isnt Heaslip captaining?) then Ireland should definitely be the favourites.

Just because there's no Munster players doesn't mean the Ireland team won't be a good one :p.

As Baa-baa selections go it's not an overly impressive one.

The Leinster coaches also couldn't rather than wouldn't give Jennings a send-off. He got concussed against the Dragons and this is the first match he's been fit for.

Was it not said he was available to play in last home game??

And this Ireland team won't be superb as it's patched together. My bigger concern is there's no Connacht guys :p

The ticket sales are reportedly going to be 1 of the worst ever for an Irish game.

Out of squad named McCloskey, Ruddock, Conan and Reid have been omitted

Yep. Barbarians have some decent players by all means even if it's not their greatest ever selection, but they usually perform poorer than they look on paper, especially in the end of season May fixture when most of their players are just looking forward to a holiday at this point. Ireland on the otherhand should be far more motivated as the players know they are playing for World Cup squad places.

Taking this ridiculously seriously then!

Don't know about ridiculously seriously? We're limited to picking from two provinces and only four starters are in the squad. 5 of the 23 are also uncapped.

Is it me or is Gopperth the ideal Baabaas 10?

Right up there with Andy Goode and Owen Farrell.

I really have no idea how this stereotype of Gopperth started . Maybe his kicking stands out more because he's not particularly good at it? Gopperth gets a huge amount of linebreaks. He's probably best off never kicking or passing more than around 5m to either side.

Have you not been paying attention Olyy?

The fate of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE hangs on this match according to SkySports and who are we to doubt them?

...Luke Marshall.. almost forgot about him...
First I've heard his name in months. Would much rather McCloskey start.

He's done his time in Leinster academy that's a level above any Pro12 or HEC so don't start looking for Cave as he hasn't played at a high enough level yet

In reality don't know too much about O'Shea but presume there's literally no other 13 available.

Payne?
Henshaw?
Cave?
Griffin? [LI]
(whisper it) D'Arcy? [Not that I'd play him unless things were dire.]
Chris Farrell? [Grenoble]

Cave has been given rest as its short turn around.
Payne is same.
Henshaw only played Sunday so can't be considered.
Players abroad would require payment to clubs and well Ireland don't pick abroad players unless they're established. So again not many available.
D'Arcy probably won't go RWC so let him retire and he's just a new father.

So as I say not much available. The IRFU and Schmidt said on numerous occasions they don't want anyone who played last weekend being risked as they're bodies are still slightly worn. So Gilroy, Henry and Diack are in as they're fighting for spots and are fresher than other Ulster guys. Tuohy too. These guys have little rugby played in past few weeks
