Ireland Squad for North American Tour

Yes and Olding getting a tournament scenario will work wonders for game management which all centres should have in some way. Also lets not forget any youngsters that you bring to NA won't exactly be learning senior teams game plan as we won't exactly have 1. Even if Schmidt took the tour which is unlikely, he won't be serious until August when everyone is available for camp

Playing next to Madigan, Zebo and others will be better for his development than playing opposite Emery in my opinion. I see your point but always think representing your country at the highest level trumps playing in a JWC. The knock on effect to his confidence is a benefit too.
He will hardly be with the 2 lads on the Lions :p

Good for him, it'd be great for him to gain international honours. If Steenson is good enough for England, they've got problems.

Believe that when I see it sure only few months ago Tom Hayes was set to be called up by them

Just out of curiosity Peat what age is Lutton and what story with McAllister regarding injury

Paddy Mac tore his lateral and cruciate knee ligaments in training back in August. Should be back next season. He looks massive from gym work, which I'm not sure is entirely wise; wouldn't be surprised if he continued to be injury prone for a while, him and Macklin both.

Archer will probably be back for tour he's still training away and doing what he can and wrist will be healed in 4 weeks or so

After seeing Lions squad and what Ireland are left with I'm excited about this tour now imagine Madigan Zebo Gilroy maybe Olding Marshall Earls and other young attacking guys together told go have fun and earn a spot

Best will be left at home as will few others. Captain will be O'Mahony or possibly Chris Henry.

Olding and Henshaw looking more and more likely as they're not in the u20 squad.

Adam Byrne possibly in the Emerging Ireland squad?

Imagine back line : Marshall Madigan Zebo Olding/Marshall Earls Gilroy Henshaw or mix it around. I know people will say Earls not 13 etc and in my opinion he best suited at wing but that an exciting attacking back line.

Last I heard Henshaw had dislocated his thumb and may not play any rugby this summer. Mindyou, that was a while back on PR, and I haven't checked back for more news in a while.

Still the options available to Schmidt are ridiculously exciting. And dare I say it might be best thing to happen Ireland loosing some experience and just having fun.
