Utterly disappointed. It's a horrible thought that one mistake from 1 of 15 players costs 7 points and perhaps the match when it's all said and done and we reflect upon it.
South Africa look better than France, no doubt, but with flaws themselves.
Though they've looked dominant, they've been making mistakes themselves and though we've looked bad we've managed some good things: defense, especially against the lineouts. Two steals already, a first for SA this month.
The big Saffa scrum, good one. That won't happen again and I'm not sure what happened there, we had a couple of dominant scrums before that in a myriad of 50-50's. This will sound biased, but I'm sure the grass had smt to do with it, Forestier isn't a great scrummager but France doesn't get beaten that badly.
Parra misses a sitter because he slips...just many things going against France and it's just very
Nothing like the 2009 showdown.
The Huget try is objectively valid, and was well constructed.
So disappointed but as always this year, some very good elements for France amidst the negativity. We're better than that though, nothing like our form against NZ...a couple of aimless passes again, is the field really, really wet ? that Chouly pass at backfield was 3 times above and farther than it should've been..
The second half should look better for us. Credit to the Saffas, one can criticize all he wants about their complete one-dimensional game but they win games and dominate rucks. What can I say.
