England v Scotland

Patterson couldn't control a game anyway. Nor can Parks.

Jackson is the right choice. Otherwise Scotland head to NZ in 6 months with only the worlds worst international 10 (as in Parks) to count on and with some experience behind him.

are england anouncing their line fri? i hope the centre positions are bulked up a bit, i know irish have just signed hape but i just dont think he's up to the pysicalness of the scots

Strongest Scottish team so far

Should be a good match (though with an England win, obv)

Scotland look good, happy they dropped Walker, did not like the way he played. I really don't get why they are playing Hines at 6, I think he is a great player and a top level Lock, but Scotland has great backrow players so we will see how this one works out.

Dude are you joking? handling the scots' physicality is pretty much the only thing I'm confident of Hape doing.

Assuming that Beattie is injured, I'd agree that is probably say that that is the strongest
Line-up we could field, lots of attacking options, but not in slightest at the same level of physicality as the English centers will have

Mon the Scots!

Scotland definately named their strongest side but still only seem to have a few players that can break the gain line and produce quick ball. England keep discipline and could be a large score deficit.

This is actually Scotland's strongest backline, apart from maybe R. Lamont who I'd like to be in there somewhere if not injured.

As an England fan I can say the only thing that may worry me is the Scottish forwards. Although I don't like Banahan really at all and don't rate him as a centre, I do think we should replace Hape with him. ( Is Hape 12 and HMS 13, i don't know). Banahan has the strength (took me four goes to spell that right) and was previously a forward. Just a suggestion. :)

Would've expected Lawes in for Shaw, but apart from that it's as I expected
Good to see Flood fit to play

Roll on tomorrow! :D

would have like to have seen wood dropped for moody... after his ential performances he has dropped off a little

Come on Scotland... Come on. Sean Lamont to finally get a breakaway try.

Is he still capable of them? I thought his old legs stopped being fast enough for that about 5 years ago!

Shame this game isn't tomorrow but at least there's Wales Ireland, can't wait; the two teams I always want England to beat the most, and in playing each other, only one can win! Perhaps neither!

On the England selection front, the one price we pay for stability and continuity is not having much to look forward to on team announcement day! ( we knew Corbisiero was likely to start.) Glad Lawes hasn't been rushed back, Deacon should do a decent job against Scotland.
