England v Scotland

Well half time ended with a brilliant kick by Jackson.

England have been poor and almost stuck for ideas. No one is changing the point of attack, just simply spreading the ball wide isn't going to do anything really and is far too easy to defend. Scotland on the other hand have defended well, look more committed at the breakdown and have probably faster ball. I'm hoping this will get better because at the moment Gray has looked like the best player and I think Lawson has done better than Youngs at starting the attack and making good decisions such as the long kick down the pitch for Danielli to chase. Ashton has been poor though has had limited ball. I would prefer him to back himself instead of throwing passes when the defence is drifting that result in nothing.

Thinking positive though!

Fun fact: within Martin Johnson's frown is another frown.

Honestly wondering why Haskell and Woods think that they're England's alternate 12 and 13?? Ashton and Easter seem to be only people bothered about competing at the breakdown so far while the rest of then back row chill out with Flood and Tindall!!!!

Wow well if I were an Ireland fan I'd really fancy my chances.

Any of the Ireland backs in their starting XV will be licking their chops at the possibilities if Ireland's pack secure the ball to the extent that Scotland's did.

Seriously. If no more than two Scottish forwards end up in the next Lions squad there is something wrong with Home Nations rugby.
