England v Scotland

Anyone know if Lawes will now return to Saints to play Leeds this weekend?

Gah, I was convinced this was tomrrow, and France/Italy was Sunday

Gutted now =/
France/Italy is my least favourite game of the tournament, hopefully Wales/Ireland will make up for my disappointedness

Is he still capable of them? I thought his old legs stopped being fast enough for that about 5 years ago!

He still has a few tricks. Besides if Tindall still plays then Sean still looks like a kid next to that fossil.

*Ahem*

;)

Hopefully the poles will have completely reversed by tomorrow 3 pm GMT
Quite a few arb things have happened recently, and I would't put it past one of the English players to have an incredibly poor game, and then announce he was a Scottish agent

We at least need to keep the score doon, so a squeaky win over Italy will still result in a non-bottom finish

I think what Italy did against France and Wales beating Ireland really means that if we win today the only other team with a look in is the Welsh, and I can't see them beating the French. So it really shouldn't matter if we lose or draw against Ireland as long as we win today. I'm sure that MJ will wan't to win in style and beat Ireland at their new ground.

Less than 5 hours to go!

(I love my awesome contributions to this forum :p)

Seriously though, I wouldn't disreguard a Scottish upset today, especially after Italy beating France. That could easily happen to England. But the logical part of my brain (assuming I have one) says there is just nothing Scotland can do to win if England play like they have done in theis championship and vice versa. However, just saying that gives me shivers after hearing about what the Scots have done in the past.

There is one thing I firmly believe though: If England beat Scotland, Ireland will beat England next week and 'bust the slam'. I don't have any evidence or reasoning as to why I think this, but it's sods law.

correct me if i am wrong, but becuase of yesterdays results; and when england beat scotland today. Even IF (very very big IF) for some reason we did lose to ireland, wales, can only win, by beating france, and having a better points difference?

Oui?:buba:

Oui?:buba:

Yes you're right; Wales would have to beat France by a large margin as England's points difference is currently 39 more than Wales. Assuming England lost by a small margin to Ireland (5 points max) and won by even only a point to Scotland you're looking at at least a 35 point win over France to claim the ***le.

if england dont crush scotland i will be slightly dissapointed

Today's going far too slowly, I want it to be 3pm! :p

Yeah tell me about it!

I'm just going to be happy with a win. Actually to be honest I want to see a great game of rugby and the right areas of our game operating the way they should be (+ a late cameo by Jonny)

It may not be much, but to any TRF punters out there, you must heap swoths of money on a 20+ points victory if england score a try in the first 5 minutes

hopefully this will be a good contest :D Scotland look up for it, hopefully they show as much enthusiasm as the fox on the pitch at the start :D

I feel sorry for the people sitting around Andy Robinson, cause he doesn't have a wall to take his fustration out on!

Decent start, but then again we have made decent starts to every game this year :(

Brian Moore cracks me up. He loves slagging his own country off..... Really funny stuff :D
So far seems as if both teams are trying to offload from the tackle, which can only be a good thing :D

Ashton needs some ruck lessons,
Not that hard to not come in at 90deg surely? Seen him give a few pens away this 6N for the same thing

WTF is up with the Scottish set piece this 6 Nations?

What is the best way to set up an attacking position when playing Scotland?

Answer: Knock on your own ball
