England v Scotland

My thoughts on this game can be explained in two words (okay technically three words for the pedantic people amoung us)

I'm scared

I don't think that Hape is international material! He shows no passion and seems to stutter when given the ball. I really think he needs to shape up or ship out.

The loss of Sheridan will not be greatly felt in my opinion. England have the two weakest scrums in the competition to play and Corbisero has already scrummaged against Italy and France with no problem. Corbisero also is a fair ball carrier and Sheridan is not a vital part of England's fame plan.

Does anyone think Lawes will be involved in the squad for Scotland or more probably the Ireland game? Or are we going to let him get some games at Northampton? I see he played for half an hour against Gloucester at the weekend

I'm not Hape's biggest fan but who do we bring in? I would love to see someone with some pace in the centre but can't see Johnson changing it during the 6 nations unless he gets a knock. Would be dissapointed if we don't try some others in there before the WC though.

20 minutes against Gloucester and clearly nowhere near up to fitness yet - Yep, I expect him to get the call up right aboooooooooooooooooooooooooooout.... now.

I'm not saying he should start but maybe be involved from the bench? He's only a youngster still and I'm sure he's been training for a week or so before he played against Gloucester.

Did you see the game vs Gloucester? if so how did he look?

I wasn't inferring you were saying that: Considering Englands history for rushing players back too soon, it wouldn't surprise me if he starts against the Scots.

He barely made an impact last week, although both side were pretty average (to put it politely).

Sunday against Exeter will show if he should get a call back or not just yet.

Bring Banahan in, can do crash ball and make plays. I think he needs to be brought in from the wing, as I can't see Cueto or Ashton going anywhere.

HMS Banahan at 12? That's even more of a laugh then Hape!

Twelvetrees would be my choice for 12, but no way he'll get a chance until after the Worldcup (unless there's a run of injurys longer than your arm)

I imagine the earliest we'd see Lawes would be the Ireland game, possibly on the bench - Deacon and Palmer are working atm, so no need to rush Lawes back and disrupt their partnership

Be more interesting and can open up more possibilitys, Hape just seems unable to be comftable in an England shirt!

england should win by 10- 20 points especially in twickers but scotland always seem to play really well against england 4 some reason

Lawes and Croft should make nothing more than the bench for the Ireland game. Anything more than that would be too risky. That said, it's nice to see us performing without such key players.

As for centres, I've said it time and time again, but Twelvetrees, Waldouck, Allen, Barritt and Tuilagi look by far the best options, all would be better than Tindall/ Hape right now, but none of them will get a look in before the world cup unless there's some big injuries.

OMGG... Tuilagi demands the 12 shirt from Hape.....nnow.

12 or 13. He's 13 in this game but mehh

This match has lots of potential England centres playing. Manu has been great but Allen has looked good. Hope Twelvetrees gets on.

THe best centre partnership would probably be Twelvetrees and Tulagi - Twelvetree's seems very good at offloading and putting players into space and Tulagi is the most effective at bashing through small gaps. Also TTs a backup kicking option.

Does anyone think that MJ will try out Matt Banahan in the centre this weekend? Although i think we could do much better, I would welcome this change. I mean; can he really be worse than Hape/Tindall? I bet he can pass better than Tindall in any case.

HMS Banahan has about as much business being in the England team - especially at centre - as I do. Horrible idea.

Tindall is a quality player who's past his best. HMS is a piece of ****.
