England Saxons v Ireland Wolfhounds Kingsholm, Gloucester; 25/1/14 KO 1700

Still apart from our back row there's little to be really smiling about from Ireland like if we are honest it's 2 soft tries we got

Burns throws yet another hospital pass. Is he not looking?

EDIT STILL no bloody support at the breakdown.

We're passing to static runners and have zero support at the breakdown.
This is stuff that's drilled into you from your first training session as a kid.

I don't know who's slower joe Simpson or a 1970s lada !! Not even gonna mention burns ! Maybe this is why Lancaster is careful who he calls up !

Daly looking good though

Henderson and back row have been good and Madigan too. McFaddenn has been very poor and I'd be looking to bring Zebo on as soon as possible. Gilroy not great either

Very harsh on Simpson when you consider the **** poor display from our forwards at the breakdown. Ireland are able to slow and disrupt the ball at will and our pack is doing nothing about it.

But time after time he has his hands on the ball and is pointing and chatting (not all his own fault admittedly) just get the ball out and away from the Irish forwards

If he goes too soon when the Irish backline is full, with forwards and etc, then he risks isolating his backs. If he takes it tight without organising his forwards, he risks isolating them in the breakdown. Really, he shouldn't have to be organising so much. There should be forwards in position ready to take the ball in in the tight. Poor tight support = poor inter-phase play. Kicking it away is difficult in the breeze.

Other than the back three, who are working well in tandem to cover the space, it looks like no one in the team has a clue of where they need to be and what they need to do.

Plz bring Slade on.

Plz.

Wilson wins a scrum penalty - get him in for Thomas asap!

Also we should have Daly or Miller kicking for goal, they're both better than Burns ATM.

Edit: I thought Slade was only on as bloodsub earlier? Not permanent?

Tbh I'd take Farrell over burns at the moment !! As a matter of fact put literally anyone a forward whoever I don't care !

4 Irish defender on him before a single English player is in support. FFS has nobody taught these players that you need support!?

That inside pop to Slade was so telegraphed and so delayed he was practically wrapped up by Archer before he received the ball.

A second ago, at a ruck, Simpson had 3 forwards standing directly behind him and he had to scream at them to work round so he had someone to pass the ball to.

Miller and Daly are working really well off of each other.

Yep saw that I'll take back what I said about him earlier .

Get out Clark. Poor showing

Wish Haskellhoff was on the bench. Kind of guy we need to exert himself at the breakdown. Wallace and Clark both been poor tonight
