Your right at the moment, but i think Eddie would just handle that on a one game approach. Slade will play all other games...and maybe Manu or Marchant starts v France.

He may not play in the 6N but I'd be interested to see Ojomoh get a run out for England. He has looked good in an otherwise atrocious Bath. Hopefully with a proper 12 inside him, Smith at 10 and a fast delivery from 9, that could be a spicy centre.

Certainly likely although would prefer Radwan over May imho hasn't really been in great form and is behind Thorley and LRZ at Gloucester. Also Tuilagi/ Atkinson/ Kelly over Farrell at 12 but it's Eddie so almost certainly going to be Farrell if fit.

I've always been a huge fan of Nowell but each injury he comes back slower and slower - I think that'd be exposed/exploited at international level

If he'd transitioned to centre earlier in his career then he could've gone there, but can't see him in the back 3

That may be your preference, but it's not actually correct at all. May is injured not 'behind Thorley'. As much as I like Radwan, he hasn't really shone recently for Falcons.

Sadly thats as much to do with our attacking ineptness than Adams form.
Hes been carrying our attacking game on his own (with Stephens when hes been played) ...its bound to have an affect.

The pace has always been my concern but I could see him playing a part from the bench. He brings something different and maybe losing weight will help with the speed.

Now that we have a decent full back dare I ask if Daly is fit?

Like I said: I'm a big fan of Nowell,
He's a very very skilled player - just a shame he doesn't have the athleticism to go with it.
As you said, maybe/hopefully dropping a few KG will see him a bit more nimble, but he was never the fastest even in his younger days

Nope, I want him at 12 and it was after reading about Slade at 13 and I just mangled the sentence a bit. Him was referring to Slade, not Ojomoh.

Also thoughts on Daly potentially being in contention back at 13 again now we have a 15 who seems to be better at everything a 15 has to do except maybe range on his kicks?

I think he'll go to the wing for May, but could see him at 13 if Slade is missing (or 23 shirt if EJ puts faith in Marchant)

Kelly, Ojomoh, Lawrence....we have a few young 12's, hopefully one can really step up and make the spot his own. It'll be after the WC 23 now though.

Wouldnt it be interesting if Esterhuizen the Quins centre had some form of English Granny. He hasnt played for SA in over 3 years so would qualify under the new World Rugby rules.

I willing to offer him my Gran....

I mean he's a fantastic player but suppose we shouldn't really (in theory as it can't happen) as it blocks path ways and we have an abudence of talent. I think we just need to potentially train more 12's! Was thinking about who we have and there isn't a huge availability of talented english 12's - If Manu is out and we don't need Farrell to start at 12, I'd say give Kelly/Ojomah a run and let them battle it out for the position. Put an experienced 13 outside (Slade, Daly etc) or Lawrence if you want a little more of a new centre partnership and see how they go.

The problem has been in the premiership for lots of years really that we've had a load of EQ good 12s. I can't remember a season gone by when we really had more than 2 good English 12s in the premiership. *


* feel free if you want to go back and throw up some good stats on English 12s but I really can't remember a season with more than 2 who were putting their hands up.
