A lot of you seem to be writing big Klit off against AJ. AJ has fought a bunch of nobodies so far. Klit was undefeated for 10 years... He was in an area he hadn't been in before when he fought Fury because he is usually the bigger man. He got flustered and his game plan went away. AJ offers nothing Klit hasn't defeated already. The only factor now is age, AJ is a lot younger than Klit.
I think Klit could take it easily. It'd be a boring fight like his last 20 fights, but he'd win. AJ vs Parker would be a mismatch because Parker really isn't all that. He's good at KO'ing cab drivers but looked **** in his second last fight.

Klitschko has become so accustomed to towering above his rivals, he really didn't know what to do vs Fury. I would imagine a rematch would have resulted in a Klitshko victory. (used two different spellings as I really couldn't remember how to spell his name :p)

Regarding the fight tomorrow.

The more I see of this Molina guy, the less I want him to lose.

I still want Joshua to win, and expect a KO in the 2nd, but both of these guys are such fantastic role models (especially when you compare them to the circus horror show that is the Chisora fight).

Parker laboured to a narrow points victory over the overweight and out of shape Ruiz. Is anyone else starting to think Parker is overrated?

This is brutal.

Great fight.

Absolutely ****ed, the both of them.

Respectful.

I can't imagine the nerves, I've got butterflies just watching.

That's what HW fights do, I guess.

Went from the most brutal HW fight in an age to the most passive fighter in an age.

Still don't think AJ will beat Klit BUt so hard to judge as he has been against the bottom of the barrell.

It would be interesting to see what AJ would look like, fresh, and really trying to pressure an opponent out of the blocks.

I don't know **** about boxing, so don't know what he'd do against Klit... but he's one of the best athletes I've seen in any sport.

Good performance tonight from AJ, it will be a step up in class against Wlad but one I am sure he will handle.

I'm not saying he is, but he is a step up from the bums AJ has fought

AJ has got to look to Wilder after Klitchco. The Parker fight wouldn't draw fly's. He isn't any less exciting a fighter than Wilder or Klitchco but he's just not a name the casual fan can relate to so no PPV pay day. I really don't rate Parker. He should shed some weight and try out at cruiserweight were his obvious hand speed would be more relevant.

Parker is overrated to the max. I have a lot of samoan friends who seem to think Parker is the best in the world. AJ would dismantle Parker.

I don't believe that is true, considering Parker is still only 24 - you realize Parker is only 24 right?

I would also say due to his last few fights Parker has actually fought tougher guys than AJ.

Parker has a way to go till he is in his prime but I actually think he is a bad match for AJ and can beat AJ if they time it right in his development.

Ruiz may look like a fat slob but he is actually a very good fighter and did last all 12 rounds. Ruiz isn't one of the bums that most fighters are padding their records with, he and Parker arguably have the best handspeed of active top level heavyweights. And from what I have seen of Ruiz in the past he actually looked in the best shape ever against Parker.

Parker has very good hand speed and I think his defense is good too. Most of Ruiz's best shots were partially blocked by Parkers shoulders or were at the end of his Range.

Parker actually landed 4-5 full power at good range shots on Ruiz that would have knocked a lot of guys out. Ruiz has an insane chin.

That said I think Parker does still need to work on his power - that is part Gym work but mostly technique. Starting the punch from the hips/bottom/legs instead of the shoulder or waist.

I thought Parker was overrated a couple fights ago.

A lot of hype is becuase he is a New Zealander.

And there is no hype around AJ because he is British? :D

There is hype around AJ because he's very good. Parker is apparently good and I admit his hand speed is OK but he has very little power for a heavyweight. Ruiz was and is an overrated fighter. He's out of shape and should shed some weight and fight at Cruiserweight. In terms of commercial interest Parker cannot attract fly's and his career management has been poor. He should have fought at least once in the UK by now but has stuck mainly to New Zealand.

As for him being only 24...well several heavyweight fighters have achieved more at a younger age so it's not really an excuse.

Ruiz is not over rated. Usually people who say that read into his aesthetics. Yes he does look like a fat slob, but he is a good and very skilled heavyweight with an insane chin and IMO from looking at his previous fights he looked in his best shape and most focused ever against Parker.

And punching power isn't all about muscle its about using your weight. Muscle slows the hands down, and weight makes the punches hit harder.

And he clearly lasted 12 rounds without tiring or slowing. Often you will see fatties get into the ring and the commentators will say crap like "dont let the body fool you this guy is an athelete" only for the fighter to gas out after 3 rounds.

I actually think Takam & Ruiz weren't great match ups for Parker and he did a good job to bank those fights, though I think tactically he and Barry could have done better. Hopefully they can learn from it.

And on the flip side I think Parker should be strong against the styles of guys like AJ & WK who have range and power but not Parkers speed.
