What a pity. Was expecting to wake up to read Rory finally lifting another major.

Best major in years but feel sick today. Rory either bounces back from that one fast or never gets over it, worse choke than the Masters in 2011.

The Open this weak. My favourite and the most random of them all. I think if Rory can get himself in contention he'll win this week , was very solid in Scotland and his form is outstanding.

Generally impossible to predict though, luck of the draw, good bounces and shorter hitters all come into the equation in a big way. Just need a European to get the job done and end the drought.

Lads just trying to make the cut here for the most part. Rose's run is truly remarkable on the bad side of the draw, Rahm might fancy a charge too.

Shane will be very happy where he is and likely welcome rotten conditions expected tomorrow where his shot making and experience will give him an edge.

Rory wins the DP world tour showstopper in Dubai to end a tough tough year with a few form dips on a high. Very emotional afterwards too.
