Aviva Premiership 17/18 - Round 5

"Unequivocally, it was not a gouge. Absolutely not" says Kingston.
Not sure i agree with him.
Think sincklers in trouble.

Really hard to tell from the footage I've seen. He seems to put his hand back in to Paterson's face after he rips off his headgear, but it's not clear that it's an eye-gouge.

To be clear, I'm absolutely not defending Sinckler. It's a total dic% move, but I don't think it's obvious enough to say it was 100% an intentional eye-gouge.

Tigers weren't exactly full strength either.
The physical nature of the game now means that it is very rare for any team to be at "full strength" hence the large squad sizes and difficult balancing act clubs face with the salary cap.

Looking forward to seeing Underhill and Mercer in tandem for Barf later.

Not a big fan of priestland.

Not convinced it's not Wasps going across.

I've seen them shown yellow, I've sent them ignored.
I feel that he led with the forearm, and a penalty is fair, I'd complain about a yellow for that, but when I complain about "play on" I'm usually told I'm being a snowflake

Love him as a player, but his insight is poor and although he's not a cardboard cutout, he's not the most charismatic or interesting pundit.

I've more of a problem with Eykin though, **** makes my **** boil...

If Hughes is out for a while (which seems unlikely) where does that leave England? Clifford at 8?

Simmons & Mercer

Carley has definitely taken against Bath's front row - I've no idea of he's right or not
