Aviva Premiership 15/16 - Round 3

Any predictions on the Tigers v Wasps game today? Going down to Welford Road to watch it.

It's like with Joseph out they have no plan B and are to scared to keep to plan A.
Well last season with Ford and Joseph out we were guilty of sticking to plan A despite Burgess' and Devoto's inability to execute it.

I think this is mainly down to pre-season and hopefully we'll shake it off soon(give it anot her week or two). Ford and Watson are barely 3 weeks back we also probably didn't expect them back to this week and were going to give them a breather. So that's our entire backline in a minor mess even without the Joseph injury (which is a big blow).

Louw and Agulla to come back now which is all good.

Give it 1 or 2 more weeks looks like at times against Quins we were fine and against Wasps the YC killed us. Think it's a matter of time as opposed to serious dip in form.

The attacking intent was there yesterday, just lacked a clinical edge as well as suffering in other areas of the pitch.

Bad start could become horrible if the rumours of Burgess and Eastmond come true...

We gave Sarries a run for there money and are improving to be honest not surprised we haven't got a point so far however the way Bath are going could be next week.

Also today the turning point was Tiks yellow which was harsh but then Burger goes flying in no arms refs sees it and only pen awarded no consistency

Beaumont just ran clean over Hartley, bounced another forward before finally being dragged down by two more.

Gawd,
Attack from our tryline into their 22m and Cusiter just throws the ball to no one and Saints go the length and almost score, but just get 3pts.

BUT THEN we score a helluva try through Addison, Beaumont and then a great chip over the top from James

Wasps will win this game.

Tigers big underdogs.

some terrible missed tackles there for Tigers first try

wigglesworth disgracing himself already...never a penalty against Smith there. Came straight through the gate.

Healey not knowing the rules on that call.

Agreed about previous calls.

Fonua is surprisingly good over the ball for a big lad.

He is looking fitter.

yeah as for the third penalty I still think it was marginal in that the ball could have come out and many times in that position the refereee will let it go, knowing that the tackler can't move.
But yes, strictly speaking it doesn't matter if you're trapped, it's still your responsibility to get clear - if you make that sort of tackle you deal with the consequences.
But still think Wigglesworths approach to the game is all wrong.
