Right I just watched the advert. WTF is the problem?

I watched the ad twice and had to google it in oder to find out what some people, somewhere, found so offensive.

What i found mesmerizing is that, out of all people pepsi apologised to Kendal Jenner, specifically. You cannot make stuff like this up.

Just watched it there. It's a generalisation but **** me if anyone can make a mountain out of a molehill it's the American people. And it's not just one side. Looking at comments conservatives are slamming it for being SJW and supporting BLM and the liberals are calling it racist and exploitative of a movement. They're literally holding ****ing peace signs for god's sake. It amounts to at most an extremely cringe advertisement at most. If you get offended at this you must be a miserable miserable person. Classic 'how do I make something about me' mentality.

As usual with the transgendered community they can't decide what they are angry about but they are angry.

1) The tokenism, why is it just a throwaway line and why aren't there any transgendered characters in your multi-species, multi-gendered, multi-race, multi-faith, multi-sexuality and Scottish crew.

2) Transgenered people never refer to thier old name (my experience in this is true for those who are, however I've seen people I don't know personally that they do sometimes). Any arguement that they don't mention they are transgendered is untrue unless they are full transitions they are almost like Vegans.

non-vegans talk much more about their eating habits than vegans, kinda like what you just did... and friends of vegans are about 100x more likely to mention that someone is a vegan than the vegan themselves

on about the actual story:

from what i've read the outrage seems pretty stupid. the character is transgender and they explained their backstory. if you aren't a dick about asking a transgender person about their story they will usually talk about it in my experience. hell, even if you **** up with the pronoun every once in awhile they'll just ask you to do better sometime. it's probably about like .00001% of the trans community that does this unfortunately it's the ones that have tumblrs.

Everyone I know who actually owns said game thinks the criticism is blown way out of proportion. The people making a big deal out of it online I've discovered very rarely own the game. Which I've found for a long time is pretty much indicative of the online community people outraged about things they don't own or watch.

themole, some people in the transgendered community I know personally are top people that I like a lot and consider good friends......sadly they are the few I've found the majority (I'd say in the region of 50-70%) are the problem. I think that's mainly due to the people being natural attention whores and nothing to do with them being transgendered. But I do get awfully tired of my facebook feed being full of their personal crap (I have my own personal crap to deal with but don't need to post it for the world to see).

On vegans......I know two, they are young cousins (early 20's) and its probably a phase so yeah I'm not really in the know for them.

i think a big thing about transgendered and other minorities is that the only people we know outside our friend group of that particular group is usually people on social media... by default if you you spend that much time on social media i probably hate you

I should say these people are equally problematic in person (just if I only had to deal with them then I'd only have to a couple of times a year) but I don't think that's because they are transgendered its just what people that like to call attention to themselves and their drama are gravitating to as means to do so these days. Not trying to sound callous or ignorant there are people who are genuinely trying to find how they fit in their minds and live a life but I find those people don't feel a need to should it from the rooftops constantly.

Technically yes but I don't think Trump needs congressional approval for a single response to something else otherwise his ability as commander in chief is severely limited. If he were to start a bombing camapign I suspect he would need it. Its not like Syria are going to attack the USA back....

The reality is this was a completely proportional response to a massive war crime, I know Trump was heavily advised of what to do but he has done something right Obama did not. I think it would take a fair bit more before we see boots on the ground but hopefully Assad will think twice before gassing his own people again. Proper legal council would of also been taken as well whilst I suspect Trump wouldn't listen to it, I doubt the joint chief's would act in an illegal manner as they need to keep themselves squeeky clean.

What war crime has occurred?

The unconfirmed chemical attack?

I remember several years ago when Assad was accused of a chemical attack which was the main reason why the US decided to intervene, however it was later proved that the Syrian Rebels committed the chemical attack. Further chemical attacks when then suggested to have the same 'hallmarks' as the aforementioned rebel chemical attack.

I find the whole chemical attack as being very fishy.

People have to ask, what does Assad have to gain from the chemical attack? In my view, nothing.

Of course the attack does destabilise the peace talks which began a day before the attack and also moves the public's mind away from the US-led attacks in Iraq which is resulting in a great humanitarian crisis and a large civilian casualty list.
