A Political Thread pt. 2

Similar to one of the arguments I heard about why Vance made the comments he did to the Europeans at the summit.

The Republicans and Maga crowd see Europe as weak. That we are more concerned about arguing about what is a man and gender neutral toilets than the wolf at the door.

Weak or woke? I suspect both.

The European Ryder cup team should wear rainbow armbands in New York later this year just to wind them up.

Not compared to the economic mess heading your way
I'm not too sure how that is all going to work out, I'm not an economist and I have read both positive and negative things about it. I get the idea that it may force companies to resume or start production here to avoid those tariffs, but startup and function of manufacturing type facilities is not an overnight process and until then, things cost mor due to the tariffs.

Although the economic mess I experienced for the last four years wasn't good either so we'll have to wait and see

Mexicans do not vote in American elections, only Americans vote in Amercian elections so to say that Mexicans voted for him is inaccurate. I live and work in a town that is about 90% Hispanic and work with a large number of Americans who came from Mexico, or their parents did and came legally. They are amongst the most outspoken about the need to deport people who come here illegally and are proudly American. They came the right way and worked to become citizens and tend to be ****** at those that crossed by breaking the law and then take away resources from taxpayers like themselves. Also they tend to be rather conservative when it comes to social issues like faith, sexual content in school teaching and trans/gay issues.
I guess the concept of Mexicans and Hispanics legally migrating to the USA and being able to vote is something you are utterly unable to comprehend...?

No not at all but once they become citizens and able to vote they are Americans. We do not let any other group vote in our elections. I also noted that you did not address the rest of what I had said.

I notice you didn't address the part about how Trump thinks ALL Hispanics who come to the USA are vermin and has openly stated deporting LEGAL migrants. Hispanics voting for Trump are turkeys voting for Christmas.

"My great great great grandmother lived in Ireland for the first 18 months of her life - I am Irish"

"I was born in Mexico, I'm Mexican"

"No the **** you aren't"

Seeing republicans constantly tying themselves in knots has been the only funny thing about this presidency - people who have made their whole lives about calling everyone they don't like a commie or a red or a russian spy, suddenly Putin's number one fan boys

When we are talking about citizenship and voting it matters very much. In your example that person would be American of Irish descent although when we are talking culturally it matters less than something in which nation of citizenship does matter

I like the "look over there" response and refusal to respond. Well thought out response

As far as what Trump allegedly said https://www.politifact.com/factchec...ine-falsely-says-trump-said-all-mexicans-are/
Funny how you went for discrediting specifically him saying they are all rapists when I never mentioned rapists and your own source says Trump has repeatedly made false claims about Mexicans being violent criminals...

That would be a "look over there" response wouldn't it? Would you like to just once address what I say and not some strawman you make?

I also would doubt the comment of life altering injuries. She suffered a severe concussion and neck injury.

If that's deemed life altering, then the bar is low.
Here's the thing. Isn't that a risk to playing Volleyball? Like what about this particular incident means a trans woman shouldn't of been participating.

Is she (the indivdual) capable of putting more power into a spike than the top elite women? I suspect no.

Do those kind on injuries occur at that level of sport? I suspect rarely but they probably happen volleyball spike injuries happen frequently enough.

Is a cis-woman's face less fragile? Likely not.

Also let's not pretend this is a widespread issue at all. Of 1,100 participating colleges and 530,000 athletes less than 10 are transgender.
