Ukraine war: Europe holds US summit in Paris as Russia heads to Saudi for talks with US - live updates - BBC News

So Russia openly stating Europe had no say at the table in a war on their borders and the USA is doing their bidding splitting NATO up.
Trump has just handed everything to Russia. No wonder they are laughing

He doesn't have to donate. He's got an army of bots and a **** load of disinformation poisoning the minds of people in the west.

Hence why I put 'donations' although all the bots etc. still needs funding from somewhere. I'm pretty sure that it's already been proven that Russian money has found it's way into their coffers and also the Tory party's. No doubt helping to promote 'free speech'.

WTF are Starmer and co on about with a US backstop?

Has he never heard of the Budapest Memorandum?

As far as Ukraine is concerned, a guarantee on paper from the US, UK or Russia is only good for two things. (i) lighting a fire and (ii) wiping your arse - and the latter depends on the paper used.

That article has nothing to do with Apple...
Aye, that article doesn't read badly from an Irish perspective. Brexit has increased trade with the rest of the EU and seen a lot of London based multi-nationals incorporate or increase operations in Ireland.

The tarriff concern is huge though and rests largely on Germany. The EU's trading power means that the US can't do it en masse without taking a hit and is the reason Vance and Musk are heavily tampering in the German election where Tesla has massive operations as well as putting heavy pressure on Europe to increase military spending (to be fair, they're correct here, many countries are a joke in this regard and Ireland is bottom of the pile).

Europe is quite reliant on the German people resisting the AFD and the possibility of leaving the EU from there. There'll be a very rough few years for all with no obvious route to any prosperity from there.

Not that I think the current landscape is prosperous for many beyond the super wealthy but the current far right trajectory is to widen that gap further and make living comfortably more difficult to achieve.
