A Political Thread pt. 2

From what I can tell, BJ's "compromise" of a post-dated resignation for October isn't flying - though we're waiting on some big names speaking out against it.
You've got to think an interim would be better.

We have a Deputy PM who would presumably do it, although I've heard some speculation that May could be asked.

Well thank duck for that. Still don't get why he still remains PM until new leader is confirmed.

Because they haven't decided who else it should be yet, if the 1922 comittee and Tories pick an interim leader he'll be gone.

Then surely the deputy PM should be the PM in the meantime.

Still, it comes down to not having a sodding written constitution and having to rely on Tory party internal rules.

Did Boris Johnson apologize? I just heard his speech, but I do not recall hearing an apology. He reminds me of Donald Trump. Egomaniacs.

his speech was incredible.
Took zero responsibility for what happened.
said mandate 3 times in 6 minutes.
Finished with what can only be described as a high schooler trying to pass off their summer vacation as a social studies assignment.

Of course he didn't apologise, he doesn't believe he did anything wrong. I think he talked about being the victim of a herd mentality. If Conservatives thought the farce was over, wait for another 3+ months of him pretending he's still Prime minister. Apparently he's managed to make a cabinet, but still missing plenty of junior ministers so they aren't sure how to make the government work at the moment. On top surely Conservative MPs will vote against any legislation he proposes if they don't support his government.

Honestly only one way to describe it, **** show.

"our brilliant and Darwinian system"
the last four months they were victims of sledging instead of, you know, unforced errors

I'm sick of people giving him credit for 'Getting Brexit done'. It was Lord Frost who got it done and many think his Brexit deal was worse than May's. His Government have messed up the NI protocol and now to renege on what was agreed with the EU. There is zero evidence to suggest that his Brexit has been a success.

All the credit for the vaccine rollout goes to the scientists and the NHS and yet he's happy to claim it was down to him.

Anyone can look like a hero when compared with Putin and he constantly looked for photo ops with Zelensky when the heat was on.

Only 3 people above don't know and only 1 above none of the above. Can we get RoN on the ballot to see 9f he wins?

Also how bad is it for some of those candidates like Javid and Hunt that they are lower than Gove and Raab. You know it's bad at that stage.
