A Political Thread pt. 2

It almost reminds me of Alan Partridge when he couldn't accept not getting a second series from the BBC. Maybe it won't be long before Johnson is seen running around Westminster shouting "Smell my cheese".

Defended him to the hilt, appointed chancellor and then asks for Bojo's resignation. What a complete hypocrite!!

Another liar too. It's widely reported that he got threatened to quit as Education secretary unless Boris made him Chancellor. Apparently he got wind that Boris was going to make Truss Chancellor. He's being denying it to the media but it all sounds very fishy.

Just lost the new Education Secretary....
You just can't make this **** up. This really is the best reality tv.

Can you imagine if this happened in Russia. Most of the cabinet would have died of heart attacks or committed suicide.

Resignation statement being drafted by No.10 according to Sky. Unclear whether Boris has agreed to read it.

Also similar to JRM saying that he'd refuse to work in cabinet for any other PM.

Equally, I absolutely refuse to have a threesome with Jessica Alba and Tessa Thompson. It's a matter of principal, you see.

In a similar vein, I absolutely refuse to have sex with Jessica Alba.

The removal of Rees Mogg from Government will almost be as joyous as Johnson jogging on.

Edit: Sky reporting that Boris has finally agreed to resign. Phew

BBC reporting the same

Claims he'll carry on until Autumn

Zahawi puts out a letter calling on Johnson to resign.
... and it barely literate too.

Seriously, its a sign of stupidity that you are educated yet still illerate. Its a sign of gross stupidity that you don't try and hide that.

If not for years of following NI politics closely I'd be absolutely shocked and appalled at what's happening right now. Unrest was always going to follow Brexit and Boris though, disappointed he won't/shouldn't last long enough for the Scots to get vote on their referendum though. A replacement who appears competent relative to Boris (not a high bar) will likely settle the Scottish electorate down and the union, which I think is very much broken, will survive.

Booo hisssss.

and this was sooo entertaining watching the blue-on-blue.
Sadly we also need a "functioning" government. We we are the stage where warrants can't be signed because the Security Minister resigned.

Its been utterly wonderful couple of days though.

The pain isn't over yet folks. Boris' resignation statement will no doubt be packed with self congratulations about Brexit, the vaccine roll out and Ukraine.
