Vermeulen has been ruled out of the game. The injury could also keep him out beyond the Super Rugby final according to Stormers coach Allister Coetzee.

Vermeulen out might not be a bad thing for vs the Brumbies IMO. The Aus teams generally box clever and manage to handle the bigguns so I am all for the likes of Carr to get the nod as he is a creative footballer and might catch them off guard. The Stormers' main issues were and are the halves which are not world class or even just rounded and solid.

Please can the rumors of Vermaak and Goosen comining in be get realized!?!

I feel we could definitely take this one but wouldn't be surprised if we didn't, Brumbies had the right answers for us last time and were unlucky not to win.
That said, if we tighten a few areas (the Brumbies maul and line-out specifically) I see no reason why we can't secure a semi, to nervous to even look forward to the game ;).

Brumbies Team have been announced:

15 Jesse Mogg, 14 Henry Speight, 13 Tevita Kuridrani, 12 Robbie Coleman, 11 Joe Tomane, 10 Christian Lealiifano, 9 Nic White, 8 Ita Vaea, 7 David Pocock, 6 Scott Fardy, 5 Blake Enever, 4 Rory Arnold, 3 Ben Alexander, 2 Stephen Moore (captain), 1 Scott Sio

Substitutes (from): 16 Josh Mann-Rea, 17 Allan Alaalatoa, 18 Ruan Smith, 19 Jordan Smiler, 20 Jarrad Butler, 21 Michael Dowsett, 22 Matt Toomua, 23 James Dargaville, 24 Les Makin, 25 Nigel Ah Wong

Speight and Pocock can be dangerous. Kuridrani as well but he has been very quiet of late. Vermeulen out means the guys will have to work extra hard to negate Pocock.

Stormers
15 Cheslin Kolbe, 14 Dillyn Leyds, 13 Juan de Jongh (captain), 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Seabelo Senatla, 10 Demetri Catrakilis, 9 Nic Groom, 8 Nizaam Carr, 7 Siya Kolisi, 6 Schalk Burger, 5 Manuel Carizza, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Bongi Mbonambi, 1 Steven Kitshoff

All in all as good a team as we can ask for. Duane and JdV the only guys out that we'd miss and two injuries is a good situatio to be in at this stage in the tournament.

Mbonambi starting I wager is because he is seen as the slightly better line-out operator and that's where the Brumbies (and others) did damage to us earlier in the season but we have our 1st choice locks back now. My main concern is the lack of size of our back three and then the limitations of our halves. Those are the areas that we might get caught out in now that we are playing serious rugby but we have a good enough pack to make up for those limitations in this game at least IMO.

The best result for us would be the Brumbies winning, so that's what I'm hoping for and I think they have a good chance. Both teams are coming off a poor performance last week, although the Stormers played a B team, it will be an interesting game. I think the Stormers will edge it with the home advantage and the players they rested.

Why "us"? If the Brumbies win, they will play against Canes and you should play against Tahs in Sidney

What? You're asking me why I said "us"? Maybe because I was born in Dunedin and have supported Otago and the Highlanders my whole life and it's an appropriate pronoun to use when referring to the team you support.

Although I can imagine you would have a hard time with this concept considering you're called Conrad Smith, you're from Argentina and you support the Reds, no wonder you are a little confused.

Also I would much rather we play the Tahs (a team we have already comfortably beaten) than we play the Hurricanes (a team we lost to twice, both times didn't even look like we stood a chance). So I don't really know what your question is about or implying.

You said: "The best result for us would be Brumbies winning". But if the Brumbies win, they won't play against "you". So it's an stupid sentence.

If the Stormers win, we play the Hurricanes in Wellington. If the Brumbies win we play the Tahs in Sydney.

Do I need to repeat myself again?

I want the Brumbies to win, so we get the easier game in Sydney.

I think you're the stupid one here.

I think you are going to lose in Sydney hahahahahaha

"Easier game in Sydney" hahahaha

You are retarded.

The Warratahs are a far easier game than the Hurricanes. We have been thrashed twice by the Hurricanes this season and beat the Warratahs comfortably.

The only reason we will lose to the Tahs is because they get a stupidly undeserved home advantage and a weeks rest.

Schalk Burger ruled out of the game???
