[2022 Six Nations] Ireland vs Scotland (19/03/22)

That is so dumb given the crazy Covid infection rates up here just now. Given the tournament is over for Scotland I'd have released them all for this final game.

If I were Toonie I would have used this as an opportunity to take the captaincy off Hogg. Ritchie (although injured at the moment) would make a better captain IMO.

Seems things aren't all good in the Scotland camp.............

Really lazy and unprofessional, especially from the captain. I'm seeing a few people trying to play it down in the media/ twitter. Zander Fagerson alluded to the fact that some of the boys "ripped the arse out of it" after beating England. Why winning one game calls for so much celebration I don't know. Now this after Italy. Does not look good, doesn't matter if they went out for one drink or ten. Ireland will win tomorrow at a canter, Stuart Hogg will tell us how disappointed all the boys are and how they wish they could play again next week to make amends. Empty words, but glass full of whatever they like.

Apparently he did.. Hogg was begging for it back and toonie gave in

Townsend needs to be stronger on this and make an example of them. Russell has been taking the **** with his performances this 6 Nations and now this. Send the fucker back to Paris if his heart isn't in it.

Ex players in the media over here often make jokes about the Scots and they're ability to talk the talk but not walk the walk. I always thought it was harsh stuff but they're probably more in the know.

That's weak from Toonie if true. I would have dropped all six of them but maybe they were thinking safety in numbers and that Toonie couldn't afford to drop the whole backline. Honestly the lack of professionalism is really poor. They're treating the six nations like old Glasgow boys reunions or a bunch of stag doos. Russell's performances have been **** poor. He has license to play as he sees it at Racing but when told to play within a system at Scotland he goes in the huff and underperforms.

What's the screen next to the Ireland lineup?

Scotland look up for this. Not taking their opportunities though.

Lovely break by JGP. Caught the Irish players off-guard too.

Amazing to think that this game and the Wales-Italy game have the same scores at this point and yet they are so different. I hope this game doesn't become a snooze fest in the final 15.
