[2021 Six Nations] France vs Wales (20/03/2021)

Sorry but that is simply not true. Wales has AWJ, Biggar, L.Williams and Adams to name a few who have stinking attitudes and are anything but humble. In the [past they've had the likes of Webb, Mike Phillips and Scott Williams, all of whom also had poor attitudes. They have a history of getting away with tons of cynical play and I think that is what really riles people up about the Welsh team. They are not humble, they are not honest, they are frequent users of gamesmanship who have mastered the art of looking innocent.

With 1 exception, the Welsh posters here are very good and have no issue with them but the Welsh posters outside this forum? Well let's say they are extremely happy to dish it out. It's that combination of having an extremely cynical team with a fair few egos that keep getting away with it and some exceptionally gobby fans that have led to Wales being a pretty unpopular side.
Surprised by your assessment on that not gonna lie.

Adams, Scott Williams, Odd to single them out. The rest of those you named are no worse than what's out there in every single side. At least AWJ, Biggar and Sanjay are decent humble people off the pitch. Their post match interviews etc. are always spot on. They aren't arrogant.

I hate Biggar's moaning at the ref as much as anyone else, but he's not the only one who does it.

Personally I don't like how much Biggar whines and moans, though he's certainly better than last year. I've seen Liam Williams get away with some off the ball stuff. Certainly remember him intentionally 'falling' on a player after they'd scored a try once. I never liked Mike Phillips after the Ireland incident when he blatantly knew he shouldn't have taken a quick line out, for me that was just cheating.

Tbh though I'll mainly support other teams as I see Wales as our biggest rivals (especially with number of wins and GS being so close) and I'm also irritated that Wales are so much better at getting away with playing on the edge and the ****ly stuff compared with England who always seem to get caught because they're useless at being subtle.

Just re-read that... what the actual??? Has Scott Williams done to get on your **** list?
Really need you to give examples of that one!
Ripping the ball from Lawes to score a great try is not an example surely.
mans as I remember, Mike Brown was the one who gave him **** when someone else made a try saving tackle against him. Not sure he's done anything that warrants being called out for anything though so please educate me!

I thought about deliberately knocking on. However surely that would be a penalty to France unless you make it look very convincing.

From the rules - A player must not intentionally knock the ball forward with hand or arm.

Normally it only applies to the defending team as the attacking team wouldn't want to knock on, but in this situation it could happen and if obvious it would be a penalty to France.
Yeah I wasn't overly sure on that particular rule but there's ways to go about it. If a ref says advantage teams have looked at the ref and said we'll take the penalty in the past. Not sure if that applies to the knock on rule.

Thinking about it we were discussing a similar grey area last week about Dupont knocking the ball forward and then regathering. Hypothetically an England player could have knocked it on deliberately to make it a knock on by Dupont as the definition is if the ball touches the ground or another player without being regathered. If so then I believe it would have gone back to the knock on as only foul play penalties overrule a knock on/free kick. Example if there is a knock on and then a holding on penalty, it goes back to the knock on. Therefore if Wales did deliberately knock on then it should go back to the first knock on, even if it is a penalty offense. However it would be extremely cynical and not in the spirit of the game and I imagine a ref might reverse it for poor sportsmanship.

Tbh mate, a lot of what you're implying there us Welsh were 'worshiping' the All Blacks for during the 90's and 00's.

Yes did you not see AWJ crying in his I interview the day before the world cup semi final? The TV company had an onion under his nose and he bit. My Mrs loves him for that. What's a big strong bloke like him doing in tears before a game (before going and knocking 7 bells out of his opponents) if he's not after sympathy and support!

You've changed!... or you haven't! I'm probably too drunk to decipher exactly what you were getting at there... but it feels like it was less penis-like than your previous 'spurt'!

I'll concede on Biggar and Liam Williams' on field attitude. Both can stink on occasion. Biggar is an odd one though because he's also one of the nicest blokes in rugby off the field. Biggar has also been on good form this 6 nations, haven't seen any obvious ref moaning. Have a feeling Pivac very much dislikes that whearas Gats didn't really care as long as it didn't hurt us on the pitch.

I know AWJ is universally hated on here for some reason, but other than being a grumpy ******* on occasion, he's always pretty honest in interviews post match etc. He questions the ref (captains often do) but he doesn't moan like Biggar or Farrell (or even Fickou today).

He was asking for a penalty try today. That's not good sporting behaviour from a captain.

He's not liked on here as he is totemic for the Welsh... and the Welsh ain't liked (for the most part... there are people with no anti-Welsh prejudice but they are the minority... all the progressives on here virtue-signalling about 'hot-topics' but prejudicing the Welsh as if we were a minority in the pre-60's era)...

My issue with AWJ is he needs to commit to a character
He tries to be a hardman on the pitch with his off the ball ****le - then next phase he's crying to the ref like a footballer - then after the match he's putting on this facade of being magnanimous in victory/defeat, regardless of the previous 80mins performance

Just commit to something ffs - I never liked POC as a(n opposition) player but I respected him because he wasn't fake
