[2021 Six Nations] France vs Wales (20/03/2021)

You said it yourself it shouldnt have been a try. A lot of things shouldnt have happened this tournament that involved Wales but they did. How can people not feel that justice has been done?
Swings and roundabouts dude! No complaints from most people here!

I'd support anyone if it meant Wales winning the championship!
and yes, even England if it came to it. Why wouldn't we?!
If it was the first game of the tournament -England v Scotland would you support England? Given that every result has a bearing on the eventual winners?

As @MattGaff has implied, I think we're all good here pal! Yes, @dullonien has mentioned that 'maybe' the Liam incident wasn't a Yellow (or even a penalty) but we understand that decisions can both go for you and against you... it's all good!

in fact, for all the smack we took for beating 14 men... England couldn't!

Sets up next Friday nicely, too.

Think Wales have done brilliantly to respond to their autumn depression, but glad they haven't won the grand slam. Certainly wouldn't have been a classic example of one.

The first game, prob not. I'm neutral in every game unless Wales needed results to go our way. I don't think many sensible people think in the way you think they do!

If France had done a 'Biggar' and taken a penalty before Wales had time to regroup tonight and won the game as a result would it have been ok? Would you have said the best team won?

Blimey. We can play 'what if' games all day. What if I was born with a pair of ***s would I play with them all day instead of doing the dishes.... yes

Would you really cheer (and shout come on England) for England if it was England France next week? Be honest?

No, but I wouldn't come on here after a heartwrenching loss and rub it in people's faces!

This thread stated like a pile of ****, with Wales given no hope if France turned up, and any Welsh poster hounded away. Well Wales matched and bettered France for most of that match. The Welsh side is full of honest, humble players, there's no ego's and yet they're still hated. Sorry, just don't get it.

Basically same, I'm all in for the grand slam at the start and as soon as England need results their way I support the results that go that way.

Like I said earlier I cared far more for France's brand of rugby winning than I really care about Wales loosing.

And everyone is different, fair do's.
FWIW I think Pivac is trying to bring that brand into a Welsh side still suffering from a Gatland % play hangover.

we'll get there though. France are definitely becoming a great side to watch and at the end of the day, that's exactly what we all watch this sport for- entertainment!

All fair, I didn't think our brand was particularly unsavoury though... maybe it's just my daffodi-specs though.

Hand on my heart and swearing on any family members life I could not accept a grand slam if England had won one by being gifted it by a referee/referees who was/were openly bias.

As matt gaff said its still suffering alot from Gatlanditus. As is the reputation of the team. The cynical play at the end was pure stuff from that era.

Your playing fine hopefully next year you'll play in more than one unctroversial game and people will take it on merit.

It may have hit a blade of grass but grass isnt the ground and also there was a hand under it anyway so it makes no difference. The ref gave it yet he was behind the play and a few bodies, 'Barnsey (best) Mate' saw it wasnt grounded but didnt overrule or else it would be his round in the bar after the game.
But isn't a blade of grass how it's refereed. If it was a question of being in touch, that's normally how it refereed. And yeah his hand was under the ball but I doubt he blocked all the ball all of the time from touching the ground. However I don't think that try should have been given, as I said i think the ref shouldn't have said he thought it was grounded as clearly he couldn't have seen a grounding. My point was that as these things go it's not the worst decision in the world and I can understand how they came to that conclusion even if I disagree.

On him saying Barnsey, don't think this matters. If anything I like that they are so familiar with each other. Means they work together alot which must be a good thing and I think make them more likely to overrule eachother.
