As a female I can safely say that Kearney is better looking than Halfpenny! Welsh are the sexiest team overall though!

Kearney is a better footballer than Halfpenny. I'm not a fan of Kearney as a person but fielding, tactical kicking, counter attacking, kick chasing and positioning he's ahead. If it wasn't for his goal kicking HP would not be a cert in the Wales side.

Don't agree. Halfpenny is the best positioning and defensive full back in the six nations, perhaps the world. He also offers a huge amount attacking, but is more of an assist er than scorer. He has the most meters made by any Welsh player this year. He is also better under the high ball. Kearney is very good, and there's not much in it, but Halfpenny is the superior player without even taking into account his goal kicking.

the fact halfpenny is only like 5ft excludes him from the best under the high ball equation - sad but true.

Kearney is fantastic under the high ball, Folau and Smith both push him hard but I struggle to remember an occasion when Kearney missed a ball with flailing arms. He's a deceptively good attacker as well, his step and spin normally buys his team that extra second they need to get behind the ball.

I don't think Halfpenny is as good as Kearney without his goalkicking, not even that close to be honest. The trouble is, I think he could be. He has shown he can counter-attack, he is just asked not to for Wales for whatever dumb reason Gatland has. If allowed to play like the final Lions test, he really could be the best in the world, but as it stands he's not even (minus the goalkicking) the best in the 6N.

Fair assesment, a bit like Kearney in this Ireland team where he never joins the line and it's one of his best abilities. Halfpenny is limited a lot by the teams he plays in.
