A win we needed badly. Set piece is still a big problem, something that really needs to be addressed for the France game.

This is really concerning for me. The scrum was very poor and more missed line outs this week.

I am worried that Wales look really jaded at the moment and have lost a lot of intensity that they base the game on. I feel they are doing too much work on fitness in training, because they do not look fresh at all.

I'm sorry but Scotland got away with a hell of a lot too.
Refereeing wasnt the deciding factor overall, as he was awful for both sides.

You wanna hit twitter mate, pretty much every impartial in rugby is siding Jackson off.

He was bad for both, but that n last 5 mins was a disaster.

Can't blame Wales, bit Scotland can feel peeved.

Surely that wasn't a knock on when Hidalgo-Clyne was taken high, which makes it a perfectly good try? Even if it was, surely then it's a try anyway as a high tackle stopped him from scoring one? Can somebody clear this up for me?

Pretty frustrating to watch supporting Scotland, it's something they've had for years- not finishing off their chances. However they do look much improved over last years edition and I really think this Scotland team can kick on. They need to sort out the mental side of things, in terms of taking potions and finishing opportunities. You bet a champion team would've taken the 3 points on offer at the 70th minute and backed themselves to come back down and score. Their work in the air was atrocious today IMO was probably where they lost the game, and wales were silly not to expose it more they made 40+ meters every time they kicked. If Scotland deal with the highball like that against Ireland in particular they'll be toast.

I think the Ref is the only person on planet rugby who saw it differently! He really lost control of the game towards the end and was looking anxious in all his decision making.

Twitter is hardly the biggest fountain of knowledge considering some of the inane rubbish that gets posted...

Nothing like on par with the Welsh.

So that makes it OK that they did?
Can pick out at least two occasions Scotland were lucky not to get yellowed. Balanced out in my eyes.

They didn't even mention it in analysis, am I missing something or interpreting the rules incorrectly?

I'm taking about the rugby press mate, not the brain dead proles.

Astute analysts like Morgan for example....

Nope Wales if they play like that will get killed by France and Ireland. They were no way the better team.

I'm sorry but how can ref's who ref game like that allowed to ref a six nations match ?, i've seen pro 12 ref's make better decisions then this. Losing is one thing but to lose by a referee's decision's. I'll be honest to say that even if he had the restart we wouldn't to be able to score, Wales would have kicked it deep and we would have to work from our own 22 to get back up to the over side to score. But there has been many times were a Welsh player should have got sent off in the last 15 minutes off the game. Wales got lucky to not get another player sin binned.

Nope, the referee, and his touch judges, just ballsed up.
It shoud've at least gone to the TMO. It was a yellow card with the question of a penalty try.
They couldn't have awarded the try because he'd already blown before the ball was dotted down (even though, for me, the ball didn't go forward so it should've been a try anyway).

As were Scotland previous to that...

I'm not denying that Wales got away without s yellow, but a hell of a lot went Scotland's way that shouldn't have, in that last 10mins and the rest of the game.

Jackson had an awful day,no question, but both sides suffered.

What did Wales suffer exactly? Not having about two men sin-binned & a penalty try given against them?

IMO your interpretation of the rules is correct. The panel on TV didn't have much time to sum up, and there was a LOT to squeeze into the time they had. At worst, the foul that was called clearly prevented a Try, so its a Penalty Try for me.

luckily i wasn't at the game or i would have punched the ref for not giving that try.

Jackson was poor, seemed to lack common sense for me. A lot of Scots saying that they had decisions go against them. I tend to think Wales definitely had more go against them, so you know, damp squib and all that. Scotland were good. Wales were average except in the air, where they were classy. Wales were the better team and deserved the win, but Scotland were brilliant defensively - maybe just a bit shaky when it comes to taking opportunities.

Well played Scotland, definitely on the way up and i think they will be winning these games before too many more years. I'd say next season after the world cup could be the time.

Wales were also very poor in the scrum and line out. We're falling hard at the moment, worrying times.
