[2015 RWC] Quarter Final 2: New Zealand vs. France (17/10/2015)

Still boggles my mind that people call him a legend. He has always been a cheat.

Such a South African thing to say. It gets boring. If you want to moan and talk **** about McCaw, make a thread somewhere. Don't come in here just to talk crap, it's NZ vs France, not SA fans vs McCaw.

As for the punch, it was a punch. Probably not a red, but you NH fans complaining about McCaw and how his trip should have been more etc. cut it out, that was a blatant yellow, AT minimum.

He escaped a yellow before being punched. Just stating the obvious, that he is a cheat.

Savea giving France a beating!!!!!

Suppose he has had plenty of practice beating..... Better not finish that.

But serious he has shown some great finishing skill today nice to see.

All Blacks by 30.

Nah, it's safe to say that the whole country is going to be curled up in an anxious ball, whilst watching this game. Personally, I don't know. I... If anyone has seen the "revenge" games that we've had against Australia, when we've lost the first game of the Bledisloe Cup, then I think this game, because of 2007, is going to be an even BIGGER thing than those returning "second leg" games. I know it's been 8 years, and we've been put out at this exact same stage, but NZ are still like a wounded beast towards this particular past. I see us getting up, I see this being a semi-final affair like vs Australia in 2011. We might not have enough in the tank after this to win in the semi, if we get there. But there is no doubt that we'll throw the kitchen sink at them.

Woops.

I was wrong about one thing. Thought it'd be a lot more tight than this. Think we all did to some extent!

I'm so glad PSA's coaching tenure is coming to an end. And in quite a spectacular end. My beloved France have been painful to watch these last 4 years.

Come on guys! The McCaw is a cheat and the ref is useless are old arguments and this display should be celebrated not marred by inanities!

Weird to see Basteraud with the first instinct to pass rather than smash.

Wow. The ABs only beat Namibia 58-14. Lé Monde is gonna go nuts tomorrow.

I'm going to miss the PSA French years.

4 more years!!! 4 more years!!!

Or maybe Lancaster can be there DOR with Farrell ant attack coach!

Dunno why posters got so worked up about McCaw. It was a punch, he was on his back, there is nothing that justifies that. Regardless whether he was on the wrong side of anything.

Anyone got anything that doesn't just insult someone else to add? :(

That was a fab performance. Being English and therefore a supporter of the underdog by default I kinda wanted France (!) to pull it out of the bag and send NZ home, but you can't argue with that kind of passing, running, breakdown and scoring instinct across across an entire team. SA and Aus should be alarmed and Ireland would struggle to suffocate them the way they would want/need to. Sublime.
