Canada vs. Scotland.
14/06/14, 14:00 EDT (UTC − 04:00 10:00 BST) BMO Field, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Referee: Mike Fraser (New Zealand)

Broadcast: Scotland: BT Sport 2, Canada: TSN website

Canada will host scotland in scotland second game and hoping to get a second win. While canada are hoping to get a win after they're unlucky lost to japan in the Pacific cup. In Scotland's first game they played with more confident attacking movement but knocked the ball on in the hot temperatures. Canada had a strong first half against japan with scoring good team tries but lost it during the second half.

both teams are looking for a win, but canada only beaten the scots once in 2002, while scotland have won 3 off the 4 games against the Canadian's. i think this will be a close game.

Lineups: Canada: 1 Hubert Buydens 2 Aaron Carpenter 3 Jason Marshall 4 Tyler Hotson 5 Jamie Cudmore 6 Jebb Sinclair 7 John Moonlight 8 Tyler Ardron 9 Phil Mack 10 Harry Jones 11 Taylor Paris 12 Nick Blevins 13 Ciaran Hearn 14 Jeff Hassler 15 James Pritchard 16 Ray Barkwill
17 Andrew Tiedemann 18 Jake Ilnicki 19 Kyle Gilmour 20 Jon Phelan 21 Gordon McRorie 22 Connor Braid 23 DTH van der Merwe

Scotland: 1 Gordon Reid 2 Scott Lawson 3 Moray Low 4 Richie Gray 5 Grant Gilchrist 6 Alasdair Strokosch 7 Kelly Brown 8 Johnnie Beattie

no problem :) im just looking forward to this match as i dont think i'll need to have another late night to watch the match :)

will be watchin this one. Two Tier 2 teams going at it :p
I just love how Tier Two has developed and expanded recently...so many new teams: Scotland, Italy, France...

Been a while since I wanted to watch Canada and at home against Scotland, should be interesting. And I hope to find a change in style from Scotland, although obviously it's too soon to actually expect a radical difference.

(facepalm) saying france is a tier 2 is still not going to make me say scotland is a tier 2 nation when they're clearly a tier 1 nation btw when did france last beat australia or south africa ?

i think you mean you've beaten the Scotland XV team before and beaten the main team once but i was using wikepedia sources but im sure you've only beaten us one and we've won 3 times

France beat Australia in 2012, 33-6.
And here's France's record against S.A. since the new millennium, so last time we beat them was when we, you know, still knew how to play, in 2009. What a match that was...:

And about Canada vs Scotland, I've got just 3 matches from espnscrum. State your source Scotty.

And yes I know Scotty, Scotland beat those teams recently too, but right now there's a beautiful resurgence of the Tier 2 world, that's got backup with sides like Italy, France, Scotland and Argentina who decided to join the club. So let's enjoy our time there, and accept it graciously. :)

like to explain how ? scotland/france and argentina are capable off beating alot off tier 1 nations so why shouldn't they even be considered as a tier 2 when we are capable off so much more yes Samoa should be a tier 1 aswell and maybe fiji too but should Scotland/argentina and france really should be counted as a tier 2 nation?

damn i was looking at italy's record against teams and i kept laughing at some off it

so italy never beaten a top 4 team, has a 33.33% won against Namibia oh dear yes scotland may have never beaten the no.1 nation but im sure we will

According to my rugby Canada magazine Scotland and Canada are actually at 2 wins a piece.

I think that left out a couple of games, we are 1 win and 3 losses against the main Scottish team and as Scotty said we beat a Scotland XV in 1991. This is the four games againstt he full Scottish side.

Scotland 22-6 Canada, 1995
Scotland 33-8 Canada, 2002
Canada 26-23 Scotland, 2002
Scotland 41-0 Canada, 2008

so your saying that the only time we lost to canada was away but all our wins were at home ? jesus we can get a first win on canadian soil

for this game i would like to see Grayson Hart either starting or atleast get some game time he's been playing very well for edinburgh he deserve's his place on the touring squad but i think he is capable and ready to play at the highest level.

secondly i would like to see Finn Russell having some shots at goal. when i saw him vs leinster in the final i thought he was on off the coolest kickers in the pro 12 and nerves doesn't seem to get onto him and is definitely scotland's future 10 and kicker.

i also want Pat MacArthur to start leave Scott Lawson on the bench but i have a feeling we'll see an appearance from Kevin Bryce which is fine and i also would like to see Mark Bennett who as someone pointed out should have been in the squad from the start and i think this will be a good game for him if he starts.

so talking about and if i was vern i want to see a team like this

1.) Gordon Reid
2.) Pat MacArthur
3.) Geoff Cross
4.) Richie Gray
5.) Grant Gilchrist
6.) Alasdair Strokosch
7.) Blair Cowan
8.) Johnnie Beattie
9.) Grayson Hart
10.) Finn Russell
11.) Tim Visser
12.) Duncan Taylor
13.) Mark Bennett
14.) Sean Maitland
15.) Stuart Hogg

16.) Scott Lawson/Kevin Bryce
17.) Kyle Traynor
18.) Moray Low
19.) Jim Hamilton (if available if not then Kieran Low)
20.) Kelly Brown/Kieran Low
21.) Greig Laidlaw
22.) Ruaridh Jackson
23.) Max Evans

and the next question is who will be captain if its this squad which is playing. The only player who i've seen captain before whos in my starting XV is Pat MacArthur but i would pick him as captain but he isn't the most experienced. but maybe Johnnie Beattie ? but idk not to 100% about that

Broadcast: I assume on the daily record website again

I think the game is being shown on the BT Sport channel.

well as what i've heard scottish rugby are trying to get the daily record website to stream but i'm 100% sure that the u.s game was on sky sports aswell as the stream. but if i find i will let you know asap

Peter Horne and Tim Swinson have been called up after Jim Hamilton suffering from an ankle injury and Duncan Taylor suffers from a calf injury

Disappointed that Taylor's out, but glad Horne's been called up. I'm not so sorry to see Hamilton miss out - we've become very dependent on him as a sub-Hines, but he's a liability. Keen to see what Cotter can do with Swinson.

i think Swinson will start against canada even though Grant Gilchrist played well i thought

Sorry I typed it in wrong, Scotland won 33-8 in Toronto a week before they lost out West.
