[2014 EOYT] France vs Fiji

You never know Ewis we might have found some chemistry and team spirit in our 2 three days work groups at Marcoussis this last month? 

I know. The changes may bring a spark that makes us oooooookaaaaaaaayyyy again. I'll always keep an optimistic eye (and hair) out for us, but man, every time we thought "okay, this time is the right time !!" we discovered we'd got WORSE !! 2013 EOYT => 2014 6N => 2014 Tour of Australia.
But maybe this is the end of that cycle, and we're back playing mmmmmm...deeeeecent Rugby again.

Looking at the teams
Front Rows
Big France advantage, was always going to be.
Second Rows
Two massive units for France, Nakarawa has looked really good with ball in hand and isn't small himself. Still the French have the upper hand.
Back Row
Matadigo and Qera are both quality players but the French are just world class in this aspect of the game. Advantage France again.
Half Backs
Matawalu and Matavesi are both attack minded and will cause lots of problems if the game opens up. Borde and Lopez are both very smart and talented kickers, I would suspect Lopez will put the ball on the 5m line and try and make Fiji play their way out of trouble. Both can still attack when it's on though.
Centres
Fofana is the best 12 in the world. Dumoulin I haven't seen but is a big guy, I would have gone for Rougerie personally but this won't be the strongest test. Botia is quick, powerful and I could replicate that for Goneva who is think is at an even higher level. Pretty even I would say.
Back Three
Talebula, Ratini and Tikoirotuma all lack pace and agility :p If the game opens up these guys should get on the score board. For France Thomas is big and quick and Huget is a strong work horse, Spedding has been talked about before so no more needs to be said. Advantage FIJI.

Pretty spot on although I'm a bit dubious about our back 3. The French regardless of who they put there if they turn up it will be a long afternoon in La France with the bula boys.

Does anyone know about Nalaga being withdrawn ?

Yeah he's off due to family reasons. Not that it would make any difference we have depth in that position. And even if he was in he'll probably be on the bench. He's not really that fast for a winger. He's a bit like Savea. Big, strong and decent pace. Ratini and Talebula and Viriviri on the other hand are mega fast and furious.

@BigEwis -Depending on how the game unfolds, France could have the better back 3. If it rains non stop for hours before I would take the France back 3. Huget is comfortable at full back so kicking and catching won't be a problem. With Tikoirotuma instead of Nalaga, who would be great in a power struggle, it could completely null the Fijian threat from deep and they wouldn't have the power plays from Naldolo. Talebula and Ratini are both try scorers though, if the ball makes its way out wide with some space then I would expect 5 pointers.

I think Nalaga would've started to add something different to your backline. Imagine off the tail of a lineout it goes to Matavesi and he has Nalaga one side and Nadolo the other as he brings it to the line. Perfect front foot ball for you guys.

Firstly we need to get the ball from the forwards who all seems to think they're backs too.

Yeah that's what we're planning for Wales.

I'm looking forward to watching Qera and Dusourtoir. During the European Championship game between Montippeller and Toulouse Viriviri scored a try leaving Huget for dead. Dusourtoir then *****ed to the ref about Qera pulling him way back that made no difference to the try. Stupid ref listened to him. Turns out it wasn't even anything. It was a scrum and Qera as is usual had his hand across Dusourtoir and vice versa. Let's see how it goes this Saturday then.

one great wealth about having so many foreigners in our championship is that France won't be STUPID enough to take completely underestimate Fiji. They may take this game lightly, and suffer the consequences of it, but they at very least know what they're up against and who they're playing. They know all of Nalaga, Ratini, Talebula, Nagusa and those Fijian dynamites and the style of powerful, running Rugby they can manufacture on demand throughout 80min. They *KNOW* it, as opposed to merely being warned about it and making fkn poetry for the media as usual about how much they fear their next opponent. This time they *know*, as they play those guys day in day out every single weekend and likely have some guys from Fiji in their own team.
When you see first hand with consistency what Talebula, Ratini do; you're on your guard no matter what and don't want to be embarrassed. Based on that simple, universal notion I figure France will at least have a certain level of alertness on defense - although of course we knew what the Wallabies can accomplish, and yet attempted a new "inverted defense" system and took 50..................

okaayyyyyyyy :D Jbobo, ever since your pathetically ignorant and profoundly stupid collection of posts about France on that other thread, it seems you've been following me spewing poisonously negative vibes wherever you go. You're stalking me and are looking to get to me, with continuously stupid and boorish remarks, seemingly following an exponential curve in sadness, in a very woman-like stinging fashion.
Think about how pathetic that is for just one second, objectively: following someone who's blocked you and hanging onto his dick for weeks throwing nasty *****y little stings relentlessly on some online Rugby forum. :/
You are clearly a classless, low quality individual on many levels including a blatant IQ deficiency, and it seems quite fair to say you've got major issues ongoing in your life with but a glance at your behavior on this website. Dude :p like, I've blocked you and still you'll stop at nothing to tickle my hairy nuts. Every time I click "view post", it's some nasty shiit directed at me. And there's many I haven't even clicked to read. You're a little bit sick, unfortunately. I don't even understand how this sort of sad harassment goes on with none of the admins picking up on it.
You're conflicted enough and seem exactly the right mental case to actually deny this, so I don't expect any less ! :p

Since you seem to have major, maaajor issues and a bizarre infatuation with me and my said package, maybe I can soothe your erection and obvious suffering somehow...what do you want from me, like...a piece of my nail ? I can give you some sweet online pron links. In real life this never could happen because you'd get your teeth knocked out if you acted like this for more than a minute, but it's a blessing there's the internet for spineless crawling insect like creatures like yourself :D continue being the valiant, manly specimen we can all admire the prowess of. Bless.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

baaaack to Frankreich:
@TommyGun: Camou's remarks were pathetic. He's obviously looking for any fallacious maneuver to cover up for something that's tremendously controversial and another major problematic concern in his tenure.
@Flyingdolphins: yeah that's a nice backline alright, but although they are individually really good players, this is France. We've had tastier backlines under Saint-André be completely sterile on attack and nonexistent in terms of chemistry. It could just be one guy's initiative, and then the next, and then another...because there's no game plan whatsoever or schemes for the backs, our backs coach is a notoriously one-dimensional and incompetent Lagisquet.
Maybe there's been changes ? We'll see...

Okay. I'm going to largely ignore the individual insults, but a few things to take from this..

1. My last post was not directed at you, did not quote you, nor invite your response - GET OVER YOURSELF.

2. If i am the one who has the IQ deficiency, then why is it that whenever anybody disagrees with you (absolutely anyone) you decide to throw patronising insults at them? You tell them that they are 'clueless' or couldn't possibly have as much knowledge than you, and then finally refuse to reply to their well thought out and intelligent argument due to your own intellectual deficiencies? Oh and bro, please stop comparing things - to anything else. This is why you got banned last time, you ignorant t*t. Also, if you're so intelligent and superior as you constantly like to suggest then why does every one of your posts just end up being a egocentric, largely illegible, jumble of ranting sentences with random big words thrown in every couple just to make it seem more palatable?

3. If you don't want people to disagree with your posts, or say 'nasty ****' to you (so freaking rich coming from you), then stop being the most ignorant, insufferable S**t on the forum. Your word is not gospel.

4. I kind of feel bad that i have caused you to feel so passionately as to block and go on a insulting tirade just because you disagree with my recent assertions regarding the way French rugby is going (justified and thought out views, held by others too, btw)

5. Yeah i'll take some pron links, hit me up with ma man! cheers

France SHOULD win this on paper, they have a great track record against Fiji and there is nothing apparent that suggests France will lose. I think a win or loss here is entirely decided by how France play. If Fiji play brilliantly I still can't see them winning unless France also have an absolutely dire game.

France should be stronger up front and therefore win good clean ball for the backs, which are think if they click it could be an excellent day for France but they have to take Fidji very seriouly as they are not taking this at all lightly Hopefully this could give France the confidence which they really do need before the Argies and the Aussies which will be a meaner task.

Well Fiji do have a habit of pulling performances out of the bag and there's a very good chance France will have that dire game. Of course France are the favorites, especially with a new look team and the injection of some quality SA input, but they are vulnerable to anyone atm, especially lower ranked teams.

If Fiji show up, it will be a top game. Just depends on their forwards gaining parity.

Ha our forwards parity...Now that would be like climbing mount Everest with bula shirts, surf shorts and flip flops....It ain't happening brah

Aye, that's precisely why France are favorites. But then, it's likely they will implode so that's something to hold on to :p Plus your back three are very good.

WHY ARE FRANCE GOING TO IMPLODE and France's back three are no good why ?????????????? you do come up with some real sh** i now understand why BE gets annoyed with you!!!!!!!!! what have France ever done to you have such ridiculous remarks thrown at them, or are you just another islander with a problem, Tony will be upset hearing such idiocies!!!!!!!!

Bro don't worry even if you implode you're still going to beat us convincingly. Your back 3 are awesome and so are Fiji's. Difference yours will have enough go forward balls and opportunities therefore you'll outshine ours.
I think everyone is judging it based on top 14 top try scorers. Last season Talebula. This season currently Ratini. And not only they scored it's the manner in which they did too.

France's back three are good, but i don't think they're better than the Fiji back three. Fiji's back three can worry any team on their day. If France's front 8 don't dominate this will be close.

Edit - For the record - Big E gets annoyed with his own reflection if he thinks it's disagreeing with him. Funny that you have nothing to say about him, considering he's the biggest mug on this site.

I will also add that on this occasion, my comments were influenced by my serious dislike of Big Ewis, so i will take this into account when commenting on France in future. Although i'll add that this does not discount some truth in the comments and my position on the other thread stays completely the same.

he's still at it, isn't he ? :D complete nut case with God knows how many mental complexes, very similar symptoms (relentless aggression on a single user, focusing on negative things/often grouchy type, general aggressiveness...) and behavior to excited duck...much less intelligent though. Eh let God sort em out, not us.

Anyways, "imploding" no lol that's a bit extreme. I'm getting tired of repeating this, but yes we'll have major chemistry issues most probably as always. Fiji could just as easily be porous defensively and then our individual class takes over and Huget, Fofana, Thomas and now Spedding take over...TB has assured ultra-quick and consistent ball for Toulon, could produce some of that play and Lopez knows how to feed hungry backs.

Up front, it's quite classic but there's a lot of power and high work rate (thinking Le Roux, Dusautoir, Maestri, Guirado, Menini).

And that bench is filled with meat: Bastareaud, Atonio, Kayser, Chiocci, Vahaamahina, Ollivon...that can hurt badly around the 60th.

Just read your previous post and tell me that I am aggressive, seriously. You're a troll to a point that it's insulting, I can imagine you being bullied a lot at school.

Also, i'm an atheist so no fear here Yoe 92.

Maybe i have nothing to say about BE is because i am all grown up and know exactly how BE works he is harmless so why do you get so worked up about all this instead you could join in the conversation submit interest and be a happy Happy Bunny like the rest of us. BE has his own unique way of coming across some don't like it but with a little maturity you would be able to understand he has a vast knowledge and does not always spit nails, often inteligence, i think i'll stop there or BE will want me as his agent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
