[2014 EOYT] France vs Fiji

Thank god that Lopez is first choice, looks like Kockott will be making his first appearance in the 2nd half, will see all as i will be there!!! There will be 2 dropped from the bench of 10 to 8. other good thing is we will have Fall for Fri night game v Brive as we did not have a first choice fullback Berard, Floch injury, and Fall International, leaving just Sicard to manage all.

That is totally silly from PSA (again). Why didn't he picked Parra as SH ? He's got 50 caps and plays in the same club as Lopez ... Again, no logic in PSA's mind ! Can't wait our elimination in group stage at next RWC to see him beeing away from the team ! He's an absolute nightmare !

France Team:

Great backline and fast too mann. France clearly wants to play running rugby. Hope we keep up mann.

That they certainly do; entertain the crowd.

I think Ewis has answered re the French squad, I too expect a few new faces to be given a go.

I've also always wondere about the PI nations pulling together. They are of course proud nations and are punching very high considering the obvious limitations on small island nations and while I can't see them coming together permanently based on that pride and the fact that their doing pretty good in any case like the West Indies in Cricket play as a team on a permanent basis, it'd really be something special for them to pull resources and tour every 4 years ala the B&I Lions. Flying Dolphins, you think the PI nations might have enough common ground and willingness to try something like that? I feel it could be both a huge spectacle and money spinner, tour Japan, USA, Canada or whichever of the SANZAR nations aren't playing the B&I Lions and France type of thing.

Really excited to see some new guys get a go. it should come as no surprise that I'll be keeping an eye out for specifically Thomas, Spedding, Kockott and Dumoulin. Uini I expect also to become a crowd favourite; he is just so fat and people like to see fat men run.

Bro the problem isn't us Fijian it's the Samoans and Tongans who don't like each other. Last tour few of them fought over who should have the biggest leg of chicken.

Hold on...Do France have 4 South Africans in their team? How is that possible? And how can it be allowed?

Forgive me if i got the wrong end of the stick, but a Nation would have to be REALLY struggling with home grown talent if they have that amount from another nation.

okaayyyyyyyy :D Jbobo, ever since your pathetically ignorant and profoundly stupid collection of posts about France on that other thread, it seems you've been following me spewing poisonously negative vibes wherever you go. You're stalking me and are looking to get to me, with continuously stupid and boorish remarks, seemingly following an exponential curve in sadness, in a very woman-like stinging fashion.
Think about how pathetic that is for just one second, objectively: following someone who's blocked you and hanging onto his dick for weeks throwing nasty *****y little stings relentlessly on some online Rugby forum. :/
You are clearly a classless, low quality individual on many levels including a blatant IQ deficiency, and it seems quite fair to say you've got major issues ongoing in your life with but a glance at your behavior on this website. Dude :p like, I've blocked you and still you'll stop at nothing to tickle my hairy nuts. Every time I click "view post", it's some nasty shiit directed at me. And there's many I haven't even clicked to read. You're a little bit sick, unfortunately. I don't even understand how this sort of sad harassment goes on with none of the admins picking up on it.
You're conflicted enough and seem exactly the right mental case to actually deny this, so I don't expect any less ! :p

Since you seem to have major, maaajor issues and a bizarre infatuation with me and my said package, maybe I can soothe your erection and obvious suffering somehow...what do you want from me, like...a piece of my nail ? I can give you some sweet online pron links. In real life this never could happen because you'd get your teeth knocked out if you acted like this for more than a minute, but it's a blessing there's the internet for spineless crawling insect like creatures like yourself :D continue being the valiant, manly specimen we can all admire the prowess of. Bless.

baaaack to Frankreich:
@TommyGun: Camou's remarks were pathetic. He's obviously looking for any fallacious maneuver to cover up for something that's tremendously controversial and another major problematic concern in his tenure.
@Flyingdolphins: yeah that's a nice backline alright, but although they are individually really good players, this is France. We've had tastier backlines under Saint-André be completely sterile on attack and nonexistent in terms of chemistry. It could just be one guy's initiative, and then the next, and then another...because there's no game plan whatsoever or schemes for the backs, our backs coach is a notoriously one-dimensional and incompetent Lagisquet.
Maybe there's been changes ? We'll see...

I hate that word, Big E; 'boorish'. It comes from 'boor' which is 'farmer' and I find it offensive to all farmers and my people (Boere - farmers). But like you said, back to Frankryk;

I'm delighted to see Spedding, Dumoulin and Thomas there. Though I am sure only Thomas would be there in a best case scenario for the Franke what with Dulin out. Will also be interesting to see Kockott come on despite what you've said about his selection being too much of a stretch for you.

I don't seem to get it the French are the only ones that seems to underrate their own team. I love watching the French backs with their flair and exuisive back play. When they're on form they're like a poetry in motion. But a Frenchman will tell you they're one dimensional and thick. Hehe you guys are always a joy to watch and read.

First of all... Bloody hell Ewis you do love a rant don't you?!

2nd of all... You are very easily wound up aren't you?!

Back you the subject matter...
Yeah I agree he is definitely trying to save his own arse but in essence what he said is true. Can a man not choose his nationality? Of course he can! If he loves and lives his life in that country, if he genuinely want to play for that country with pride and if his good enough, then yes I think he should be allowed to! That's my opinion anyways

Bro the Samoans and Tongans don't like each other especially in selection when they both feel their players should be there. They both know the Fijians backs are the best in the world so they don't mind them manning that area. It's when we have to pick the forwards that's where it gets sensitive.

ah yes, you're right ! But surely you understand it's just another word of the english language now and has exactly the meaning I needed. Man, look at Dumoulin's thigh

Like, you see large, muscular chunks but this is just ripped like hell. You know he was apparently about 108kg when he first got to Racing, but laughed about it and said it was bad and needed to trim down to be respectable. He's naturally a really big boy it seems. Don't expect much from em on Saturday, again, it's France man. And his first ever Test...

2nd of all... You are very easily wound up aren't you?! 

nah not really. But I'm indeed very quick at letting you know straight up I don't like the shiit you're doing :D I don't play between the lines, if I've got a problem with your incessant bullshiet it'll be sooner than later you'll find out. Whoever you are. Just saying !...

Then: let's not hold this conversation...Kockott is fkng South African man, that's it. Whether a man can choose his nationality or not...then the other intangibles count for something, surely (wanting to play for the said country, emotions shown about that, speaking the language.....). But Kockott is a mere product of the possible abuse this law system allows for. He wants to play Tier 1 Test Rugby, and now he is...it's Machiavelian, and nothing - nothing else. Now we have another really good SH though :p

What happened to Michilak? Has he fallen out of favour with the French management or he is injured.

injured. But you should know we have an awkward number of high quality FH's to choose from, and Michalak is rightly old and at the bottom of that hierarchy. Trinh-Duc is the best in France, and most def a Top 5 world wide, while Lopez is just on brilliant, brilliant form atm, hopefully France doesn't turn him into another harmless piglet...he's just *excellent* for Clermont this year.
Bernard (Talebula's feeder at Bordeaux), Wisniewski from Grenoble, Plisson (Paris) and Talès are up next. Michalak and Beauxis can still really play, but they're old news.

Does anyone know about Nalaga being withdrawn ?

yes, "family issues" he's said.

before you make such ridiculous comments research why Parra is not playing he's INJURED, and nobody wants to see France go out of the group stages they may do but we don't want it to happen, and just to add insult to injury PSA will be around till after the 6 nations 2016 keep up to speed my man.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What??! Why??! We can't have him till mid 2016??! what are they doing to is!!!!?

I hate that word, Big E; 'boorish'. It comes from 'boor' which is 'farmer' and I find it offensive to all farmers and my people (Boere - farmers).

it means someone rude and uncouth in English. Don't think in this context it descends from Boer.

***edit: I stand corrected, just looked up it's etymology, and it does indeed come from Boer.

Looking at the teams
Front Rows
Big France advantage, was always going to be.
Second Rows
Two massive units for France, Nakarawa has looked really good with ball in hand and isn't small himself. Still the French have the upper hand.
Back Row
Matadigo and Qera are both quality players but the French are just world class in this aspect of the game. Advantage France again.
Half Backs
Matawalu and Matavesi are both attack minded and will cause lots of problems if the game opens up. Borde and Lopez are both very smart and talented kickers, I would suspect Lopez will put the ball on the 5m line and try and make Fiji play their way out of trouble. Both can still attack when it's on though.
Centres
Fofana is the best 12 in the world. Dumoulin I haven't seen but is a big guy, I would have gone for Rougerie personally but this won't be the strongest test. Botia is quick, powerful and I could replicate that for Goneva who is think is at an even higher level. Pretty even I would say.
Back Three
Talebula, Ratini and Tikoirotuma all lack pace and agility :p If the game opens up these guys should get on the score board. For France Thomas is big and quick and Huget is a strong work horse, Spedding has been talked about before so no more needs to be said. Advantage FIJI.

solid little etymological parenthesis in the convo...good diversity so far, this thread is starting to look like ARTE. ;)
@TheSaffycen props for your comment about Fofana, strong recognition for smt which hasn't been unanimous lately. Dumoulin is big but not huge and he's got a lot more than meat to his game. And it tells you just the quality of Fiji that you'd consider they have an advantage over the trio of Huget+Thomas+Spedding ! But they prob. do have the advantage there...

But again, we could've added some All-Blacks to our side...if you don't have a game plan, ya don't have a game plan. Chemistry is everything for Rugby is a team sport, as blindingly obvious as it sounds.

You never know Ewis we might have found some chemistry and team spirit in our 2 three days work groups at Marcoussis this last month?
