Fiji vs Tonga RWC warm up

YES! Had $20 for Tonga to win this game paying $58..Had a feeling with the Tongans being at or close to full strength with Fiji not having a recognized kicker in the lineup that the Tongans would pull this one. PAYDAY haha.

Never bet against Tonga when the Morath man is playing.THat lineup was having its 1st game together so should improve out of sight.Save your $58 for Tonga against Canada,Japan and France,a nice multi bet!

Brynylon what would be your final 30 man squad? I know you've been very outspoken about the team selection based on reputation rather than loyalty. If you were in charge of selection would you take the moral stance and be willing to sacrifice players who are more talented but have been less commited (E.g 'The Johnny come latelys') for those who have been more loyal but have less of a reputation (E.g Tukulua Lokotui, Osaiasi Koloamatangi, Soane Havea, Alaska Taufa, Etueni Siua, Mateo Malupo) for the Ikale Tahi? Also would you include any of the exiled players (e.g Hale T-Pole, Nili Latu, Epit Taione) ??

The Tongan World Cup squad is being named Today. I am hoping Tonga Lea'aetoa is not on that list.

disappointing loss, another card for koyamaibole, does anyone know what was the yellow card was for? sounds like it had an impact on the game for fiji too, right when they got the lead.

looks like fiji had trouble with vainikolo too, i had a feeling they would, sounds like Talei had a good game though, that will make it hard to select the back row, maybe Talei could go to number 8 since Sisa has been getting cards.

Fijis Rugby World Cup Squad doesnt look as good as the 2007 squad

Ma'afu, Somoca, Manu, Nailago, Veikoso, Tuapati, Koto, Kalou, Nakarawa, Lewaravu, Nasiga, Dominiko, Koyamaibole, Qera, Talei, Matadigo, Ravulo, Kenatale, Buatava, Luveniyali, Bai, Little, Vulivuli, Lovobalavu, Ravai, Goneva, Nalaga, Tagicakibau, Murimurivalu, Keresoni.

notable omissions :T Rawaqa, Bolakoro, Nagusa, Delai, Vatuvoka, J Domolilai, I Rawaqa, Dewes

the team is **** when you look at all the players left out and the players that opted out. but i also thought the same thing in 2007, in 07 i and a lot of others were expecting Fiji to lose all their games in that pool, so i hope Fiji will show me wrong again.

but from the players that made themselves available fiji didn't really have much choice, the only players i'm surprised to see missing from there are Ifi Rawaqa and Nagusa, i think Bolakoro is worth putting in but there are too many other wingers in the team. I hope M. Tagicakibau is fast, coz the only fast winger i can see in the team is Nalaga. It is good to see Nakarawa in there, but overall i'd definitely say its weaker than the 07 team

that's no surprise
cause someone told me they saw him at Auckland Airport and guess where to? TONGA
well we can say all we want about Isitolo but sure am happy he swallowed his pride I have feeling Finau had something to do with this.
man this squad is just getting better

According to his Facebook, people are commenting that he has indeed left for Tonga and that he is possibly joining the team. It would be great to see if he is to be named in the team and very big of Isitolo Maka to be able to look past their differances and show forgivness . With Moa back in the side I thought it mightve given hope back to Nili to be brought back into the side. Heres hopeing that Maka has indeed overlooked their past history, swallowed his pride and that he makes it to the RWC.

What makes you think Isotolo Maka is picking the team ?The IRB appointed CEO of Tonga Rugby Authority has tendered his resignation. The reasons? We will soon find out!You think Maka has swallowed his pride?More news about him coming!

I thought it was ultimately his call that Nili Latu was banished from the team and hasn't been seen for a while. There was an article in the Rugby news magazine website with an interview with coach Maka and he was telling his side of why Latu was not welcome in the team.

I also asked before, if you were to choose the final 30 RWC squad what would your squad look like?
