started watching from half time. I was just glad to see Fiji had scored and the scores were close at one point there lol. But the defence from Ratini was crap when France scored those two tries down his wing.

very pleased with the second half. We haven't seen France attack like this in a very long time, absolutely delightful. So we got some French Flair back but the scrum is a real issue. Nicolas Mas is probably a Top 5 TH of all-time but he's just done for. Old age + new rules = no more Mas. That much is clear now. We can't rely on Weeni there, and Slimani is seriously gold for us today. Thank God for him.
Anyways, very happy with the result because yes we scored 5 (should've been 6) but it wasn't like we usually have recently, crappy tries from one guy all by himself, those were really constructed and with consistency, not just one moment of brilliance. Defense was very good most of the way, that's a relief. The breakdown was mostly good.

WHAT a debut for Spedding and Thomas. Has anybody ever scored a hattrick on his very first int'l cap ???

I think Christian Cullen did it if I rememeber rightly

Didnt watch the game, might look up some highlights at some point but did flick over just to see how the French kit looks in playing mode. I like it, especially with the red numbers.

Especially as a Welshman, i.e. somebody who's seen France in all its most glorious chaos and earth-shaking incompetence (the Cardiff game), you'll be very pleasantly surprised to see what they managed here. And there were other very good moments where we didn't score, that won't show on the highlights. This form to be confirmed next week.

I think Chavanga scored 6 against Uruguay..... George North got 2 against Souuth Africa as well.

haha so not even close...Cullen, how fitting

the guy was a genius. And oh Savea got one on debut, forgot completely about that...but I see he isn't even the first Frenchman to do that. Pretty sweet though, can you imagine ?? 3 on debut ?!! He was very very good. Funnily enough, most of the new guys were great: Dumoulin, Thomas, Spedding...I guess they haven't spent enough time with the staff to become infected yet...

Sivivatu got 4 tries on his debut which was a record until chavanga broke it the next day scoring 6 against Uruguay.

Goneva missed because he chose to play for his club.

Great game France by the way. You guys Had a slow start but once you warmed up it was hard stopping. Especially loved the French flair, been a while since we've seen it. Fiji well as usual our forwards were not up to standard. Our backs had back foot ball majority of the time.

Some good magic by FRance excellent Speeding, Thomas the French pack needs more work but the backs did create havoc at times with some very slick moves not all worked but good work in progress, hats off to Fidji they were great entertainment ran the ball from everywhere and the last try magic from our very own Jimmy Nagusa,good atmosphere great Stadium45,000 + TODAY Bouillebaisse chez Fon Fon then tomorrow Scicily

yesterday was much better intrinsically (i.e. whether Tier 2 opposition or not) than what we've seen at the 6N and Australia tour, which were nothing short of pathetic and purely chaotic. Some real attacking form, continuity and good defense.

when your club has more to offer than your national selection, that tends to happen and not just in Fiji.
