[2014 EOYT] England v Samoa

I'm putting my cards in the table by declaring I am, following Olyy, a massive Mullan fan. He's a very busy player with a brain and good hands and athleticism which allow him to fit into a fast paced game. He's a good carrier close to the line, and has had lots of tight heads in toast this season.

He doesn't have the carrying of Mako, the scrummaging of Corbisiero or the haircuts of Marler but is quite good at all of it.
Thirded. Big fan of Mullan. I think he's our second best scrummaging loosehead after Corbs and also goes really well in the loose too. I'm happy to live without Vunipola's carrying tbh.

Cipriani would be england international if he was in a bigger side.

Tommi, I can't tell if you're trolling or being daft.

I try to ignore him but I can't help it. I just watched the sale game and cipriani was quality, plays flat to the line. Something england lacks.

Don't see too much controversial in saying that if Myler and Cipriani swapped clubs, they'd probably swap places in the England set-up as well. Probably a bit controversial to say it about Farrell and Ford, but I'd make that argument to test it out at least...

There's no doubt in my mind that given a better platform, Cipriani would be far harder to ignore for England. I think Sale will be lucky to keep him tbh.

well judging by the sh**ty private message he just sent me he's the first.... :D

A private message which wasn't too ****ty, I replied to your crappy dig at me through pm. The "man" who asked people to stop being personal. You're pathetic.

Shut your whore mouth!
You're a pirate hooker!
I'll punch you in the ovary - one swift shot, right to the baby maker.

I don't think he will stay at sale to be honest unless you get together a decent set piece. Braid is quality though!

I may have missed something, but I don't think anyone here thinks Cips attacking game wouldn't be useful for England.

I'll fight you.
Don't think I won't.

I actually wasn't trying to mock a Sale player who should be in the EPS there. But it seems I just do it naturally!

How did academy lad Seymour go?

Be strong GN10. Be strong.

I've just exercised....... My right to block someone. Life's too short and there has been too much squabbling of late.

So what was your point? Was just watching the sale game and was relaying my thoughts on cipriani... I know it's been mentioned but he played a strong quins side today and looked quality.

Not meaning to downplay Samoa but I don't think England can settle on a win here, we really need to destroy Samoa to even begin to make up for the last 5 games. A win of 10 or less I think will not really be acceptable. NZ, SA and Aus would all be capable of that so we must be too.

I personally don't think the score matters too much as long as it's a win as long as they are playing well.

To win 40-35 will be fine for me, as long as it's a game they actually turn up and play in. i'm hoping the Samoa that beat Australia turn up and really give England a match.

It's performance that matters.

As I've said, I'm expecting a pretty big win. I don't think their tight five has what it takes to live with our tight five, and I don't see how we get a close match if our tight five performs. But, theoretically, better a good performance and a narrow win than the other one way around.

Either way, people won't take much note of this result unless it goes sour. Australia is what people will remember.
