[2014 EOYT] England v Samoa

Samoa shouldn't pose any significant threat to England. They've been having problems of their own. Sometimes off field issues can either galvanize a team of players or weigh heavily on their mind, and I've seen the former happen many times with coaching disputes, deaths, injuries, administrative issues, etc. But England seem to have put out a side who can get the job done. Having Farrell away from the main play maker jersey should be a good thing, even though he is still in the team.

Yeah it's performance that matters. But cohesion usually leads to points and solid results, so I think getting a few tries up on the board will do the English players a lot of good with confidence. The Wallabies game is one England should really be targeting, so I don't think 2 losses and a near-miss to Samoa will help the mind set. I think Conrad's prediction would be about right, possibly by a bit more.

Same reason Ireland wore white.

That's twice the ref hasn't heard/ignored the touch judge.

I'm always amazed how competitive the Pacific Islands are. Born for the game.

Good one!!!

One half against the Blacks and the rest has been dire! Even if England win this anything other than a convincing 20 point win over Aus means this autumn has been disastrous.

Not impressed one bit. When the centres aren't involved too much, we look good. Not been good at breakdown again but Samoa are going for it.

Worst performance of the AI so far..... lucky to be in front. Wasn't a try for me.

Flat half. Conditions haven't helped.

Ford's looked good, Farrell and Barritt have been meh, and Brown has been poor. But then again I could have written that two weeks ago.

Oh, and Youngs' delivery has been terrible. Dithering, slow, and innaccurate. But then again I could have written that two years ago.

And yeah, it wasn't a try for me either.

End of the first half:

Chile 13 - Samoa 6

Chile is #29 so far, but they are beating the #11. Then if they win, they will ascend to the number 20 next week, right?
