[2013 TRC] Argentina vs. Australia in Rosario (05/10/2013)

Wallabies played a fantastic game. Today Pumas had no chance of winning the game. Wallabies have incredible players that can beat any team. The duo: "Will Genia-Quade Cooper", did win the Super Rugby 2011 with Queensland Reds and did win the Tri Nations 2011.

They have a dominating player like Israel Folau, who has 8 tries in 14 games in Waratahs. He was one of the best Rugby League players in the NRL, which is the most important competition of the Rugby League.

They also have other players as James Horwill, captain of Queensland Reds, Adam Ashley-Cooper or Joe Tomane, they are playing in Super Rugby, which is a very high level of rugby.

So no surprise that these things happen, of course. It's hard to play against players of this level.

People here are very critical with Wallabies, but they are very good, they have the potential to be the best around the world.

Cheers

No question about it, but their recent results were/are a clear proof of their poor form. Including the game in Perth againt us. The wallabies shone today but mostly because we allowed them to. This was Soweto all over again, but this time the reasons behind the result, IMO, were different: no depth, and as a result exhaustion; trying to play an open game against one of the best teams who practice that; not bearing with the pressure of getting the first win, and at the same time, of being candidates against this kind of opponent; and at last, but not least, staring some players whose best times are far behind, and not taking more young talent instead of some old warriors like Farias. Of course there must plenty of reasons more, so everybody's opinion would be welcome.

Also think the early Australia try really was a slap in the face. All week I bet the Puma's were confident of competing if not winning and to concede like that so early and then not to capitalize on field position really knocked the confidence.

Of course a penalty try should have been given but that ball should never have even got close to Hooper to pick it up.

Well just finished watching that lot..........

1. Barnes seemed to be trying to get his own back for the aggro from the Argie PM's bellicose statements about the Falklands.
2. puma tackliing was non existent but Bosch was passing the ball..............brilliant! Should Henendez be playing International rugby any more?
3. The Aussie backs' talent has never been in doubt but their scrummage and half backs have been overall poor this season.
4. The Pumas were unbelievably poor and made a mediocre Aussie side look as if they were something special.
5. To judge the Aussie side, lets us see how they do in Europe.
6. Sad game to finish on for Felipe.
7. Please God I do not have to listen to those Aussie commentators any more

all good points, except the last one, I love Aussie commentators !
Definitely a shytty way to go for Contepomi...
and I was thinking the same about the aussies, let's see how they manage to do up North...but taking such scores at home against NZ and SA was pretty bad in itself.
They're going to Dunedin in like two weeks...maybe another draw for Bledisloe 3 ?? :p I'll be going out on a limb but I'll say mmmmmmm...no.

And then the Wallies have quite a ride:
England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and then Wales (!!). That's quite an EOYT they've got this season.

They'll lose in Twickenham, they'll beat Italy by around 5-8 points, I'd say they'll beat Ireland 60/40, beat Scotland relatively easily and then will lose in Wales. They'll be EXHAUSTED, get shaken up in the scrum and won't be able to contain the Welsh giants of backs for 80min. This one is just there for the taking for Wales, and God willing they won't choke AGAIN against a SH team this time..

The yoe91 prediction of doom strikes yet again. Reverse Midas.

Sadly Wales are now also cursed in November as well.

Thankfully Ireland aren't, in fact we have a 40/60 point win.

Cheers whatever I'm meant to call you.

:p smartazz...
and call me what you want, but it's not all that complicated: it was 'yoe91', and then I changed it to....'Big Ewis'. No really, that's all there is to it !

But why? At least I had valid reason for name changes.

Lads how do I go about having my name changed to Captain Fantastic McFishcake? I think I may have prematurely chosen this one not expecting to be here three years on as really I just wanted to see the gaming forum.

Now who really wants that name...

It took me longer than I care to admit to realise you were one of the random people following me on twitter.

Jesus Christ I've hardly masked my identity have I? Listen I'll meet you halfway at Jellyfish O'Toole

6th try. This match is just one to forget for Argentina. It doesn't mean anything.
It's just a free-running bleeding at this point, doesn't matter if Australia scores another 6....

The pumas decided to attack and forget to defend, this was the worst pumas game, even worst than the first against SA.

I see your point, but maybe not worse than 73 points in the face...
Again, this game is just a disaster. It happens to almost every team every once in a while...*cough* cough* FRANCE AUSTRALIA*cough*cough* TWO THOUSAND TEN !! * cough*

They need to recalibrate the clock and go now...but one thin that's shown a lot, as a real concern, in this year's tournament was their slowness. Slow to react, slow legs...
