To be fair though, they have a point. Although it's not just them who have been betrayed, the politicians have betrayed the entire country by putting party politics first right from the off and at no point has the national interest ever factored into their thinking. This is part of the problem with career politicians, all they know is politics, all they have allegiance to is themselves and their party. Everything they do is looked at through the lens of how it will make them and their party look. Whether an idea is good or terrible really doesn't matter in the slightest to them, only that is LOOKS good.
If they all agree its a shite deal - why vote for it?

Almost the entire house is guilty of using Brexit as vehicle to play party politics and very few have voted based on the national interest:
1. Far right Tories looking to oust May and grab power themselves
2. Labour calling for a General Election just to get into power
3. SNP pushing for a second ref so that it sets a precedent and strengthens their case for Indyref2.

Seeing as her deal on it's own has been voted down emphatically, I see three viable options left. The customs union and confirmatory vote were the two most popular choices to emerge from the indicative votes. Let them vote again on Monday to see if that is still the case and then have three final votes on these options:
A - May's deal & customs union
B - May's deal & confirmatory vote
C - May's deal & both customs union and confirmatory vote.
I believe that one of these three will get a majority and that one shall be the winner. We then go to the EU and ask for a long extension based on the winning option being rolled out to which they will agree. Simples.

Yeah, I think the governing party in the UK wont currently entertain anything beyond trying to impose starvation on Ireland... at this stage.
This may be staged, but make no mistake that this sort of disgusting attitude towards our neighours is slowly pervading British society. If an MP is making such noises then you can be damn sure it is a sentiment bubbling away in the Daily Mail & Murdoch media spheres. Those guys shape public opinion here.
Thankfully, I think even the most ardent Britidh nationalist is waking up and smelling the coffee that despite the impending death of British manufacturing, this political cock up is still something that can proudly display the "made in UK" hallmark.

It's staggering that almost the whole house is playing politics and yet still using the ruse of 'national interest'. Maybe we are better off being governed by the so called unelected bureaucrats in Brussels because the shower in Westminster are proving themselves to be much worse.
If the EU offered every British citizen a million quid and agreed to let the UK cherry pick anything it wanted in the WA then May would still be hell bent on delivering Brexit to protect her legacy. Labour only want to gain power, the SNP are angling for Indyref2 and the far right tossers like Boris and co just want to gain power and further their careers.

I hope they don't vote on the same things. They should choose the top 2 so that we can see where the votes for the losers end up going which will give a more accurate picture of where Parliament is at.
If nothing gets a majority then I think we are heading for a long extension with May trying to get her deal through again after bribing the DUP. I just don't see her resigning until later in the year unless most of her cabinet quit.
