Know it’ll be unpopular around here but my ideal team would be Jiff, Guscott and Paul O’Connell in the studio and Brian Moore and Butler on the mics... maybe it’s just famiarity over quality but I like the fact that they bring some persanilty to proceedings (whether I actually like all of their personalities or not).

With the exception of Flats... the ITV team is a void in this area.

British coverage of rugby is disappointing at very best. Doing my best not to say rubbish. It does nothing to levate my intrigue or interst in the actual event, which it should do at times. There is one welsh (I trust) match commentator who is decent. The welsh and English former players get on my wick. Perhaps it is what you get used to.

Give me Nisbit, smith and Marshall any day. Bill Mclaren, the closest we ever had to a proper commentator.

I dunno whether it's 'cos of my English support and Welsh connections but I hate the lead up to these games almost as much as I love the actual matches.
The 'banter' just annoys the crap out of me.

Funny thing about Jones' Patchell comments, people can say it's a mistake but there's no getting away from the fact that it's pretty much all anyone has spoken about in the media since. Deflected attention from the England team beautifully and while Patchell may come through with his head held high (and I hope he does), there's no doubt that all eyes are on him (I suspect he'll love it tbh).

I think England will win but if we don't, I won't be *****ing about how we were hard done by (unless we're hard done by )

Just glad I've got the game at Kingsholm to wile away some of the time between now and kick off.

1/2P confirmed out. Wales are goosed I think, England kick a lot and Anscombe isn't international class at all in my opinion. Watson and May are good on the kickchase and have more than enough to beat Adams and Steff there too, we could be hearing "England only play 10 man rugby yada yada" for months!
