[Six Nations 2018] Round 2: England vs Wales (10/02/2018)

Wales online running an article about England using an illegal tactic that must be countered. It's hilarious because we all know they didn't do this last year and that Wales never use any illegal tactics. For example I have NEVER seen a Welsh player run beyond the ruck to block other players from entering and competing for the ball, nope never!

Just FYI, that definition of world class (starting spot in a world XV) is the one that Eddie Jones quoted when he set the aim of 5 world class players by 2019 and the one which I'd assume he continues to measure against when tracking that target. Not my view necessarily, but obviously does imply that only one player per position is "world class" at any one point.

Can't remember quite how Jones quantified it, but I remember saying that at the time only Coles and Brian Retallick would have qualified according his definition. This flies in the face of what he now says, that you're only going going to get two players above 7/10 and everyone else should do that. Just like everyone didn't against Italy! It's almost as if you should take what Jones says with a pinch of salt.

If England don't perform, I know me and my Guinness will.

Contributing to the Irish cause during an England v Wales game then. Isn't that High Treason? I shall be watching with a few old friends, mostly English. A barrel of decent English ale will be available. Probably Adnams or Theakstons. No foreign muck round our way. I too will not be contributing on here until after the game. Various foreigners are permitted to watch. Anyone caught dealing in Foster's will be reported to the police. Severe penalties will ensue :)

Fosters? Thought they stopped making that ***** with the last crocodile Dundee flick.

England are favoured by 10 in some pool I entered. I fancy it will be closer, so took Wales to cover. Is Dan Coles really in contention to start? Hartley?

Wales were impressive last week, but hard to say if that was a case of Scotland being poor too.

Be interesting to see who wins the physical contest. Not scrums and line outs, but the open play, rucks and mauls, tackles.

Think I might be developing a real interest...... First year in ages I will be able to actually watch the game live, thanks to Dazn.

I wonder who ITV will have as pundits?

Thank god I don't have to listen to Butler commentating. He kind of went quiet when Daly went over for the score last year.

For some reason I thought it was BBC thank **** for that I was worried we'd have Jiffy to listen to all match.

Not a fan of the ITV pundit team... do like Flats commentating tho.

If the pressure always being on the favourites was a significant factor, then the whole concept of favourites would be meaningless
