What are you listening to?

Couple of (In my opinion) really great songs, that I just happened to pick up on the radio and absolutely loved ( be appreciated by those of the 'older' generation)

I like Haim. 'Falling' is a great song.

That Churches cover is nice...

Seen that one before, prefer it to the monkey's version. Chvrches are definitely one of my favourite bands of the last 10 years. Massive Depech Mode/Kraftwerk synth influence, and 'Lies' is a superb song.

Yeah definitely get you, although it's only recently that I've really started appreciating that type of music. "Lungs" has been pretty high on my most played list recently, something about it that I really likr?.

relaxing with this in the background watching Top 14 and drinking some cold cider.

heh, ey Rich Taff: widely different but I later thought about Ace of Base with this song in particular nobody knows. So like Tove Lo, same country, lead singer has a gorgeous voice, although the band always suffer from that dance tag they've got on.

check it out, somewhat similar spectrum of mainstream music. Stuff in there is cheesy, for sure, but if you'd focus on the rest.

Yeah, I remember that one when it came out. (strangely, it always makes me think of early b&w Mickey Mouse cartoons, can imagine the characters using pick axes to the beat, whilst the train puffs smoke at the same beat)

Turn the sound off on this clip, and play that video.

Currently watching a programme I've been trying to install for the last 3 days run itself into a wall. This is helping.

aahhhh, I like you there Taff. The right kind of weird, well done. Weird random thought associations are absolute gold to me. My brother once told me a specific sound in Arabic (the "dud" letter) reminded him of some fat man's corpse lying on the ground's big toe's putrid, blueish nail. I couldn't stop laughing because it's just so ridiculously far fetched but has somehow, somewhat some logic to it. Arabic is a pretty horrible language, but for some reason, I'm guessing because we've had the same background being kids in Qatar, the same setting, I do actually see what he means. This may be too abstract, I dunno...

One of Pip's less heard of tunes, came out on his No Commercial Breaks LP. Fantastic little story teller.

From the new Hoods album, love both artists and their best qualities translate into the song. The real music video is the scariest **** I've ever seen though.

Guardians of the Galaxy the Mix Tape ... absolute genius.

First time I've actually appreciated the 'suggested like' intrusion from FB.
Loving this band!

New Chevelle CD... (video is live performance, audio is the studio recording):

Saw these guys live (last year) and they are terrific! Great show - and for just three guys they put out a lot of music. Also I met Dean (the bassist - guy with the beard) - had my picture taken with him and everything...but it didn't come out. :( I was sad about that. One of they guys' wives - the drummer mebbe? - is from Australia. We had a long chat about rugby, and Aussie Rules, but she doesn't care for the latter at all, and calls it the GayFL. She was a real hoot to talk to!

I don't think I like it as much as the original, but it's pretty tasty.
