Absolutely fantastic. 'Pomp and Circumstance' was better than last years rendition. Seemed to have more passion in it (although after the Olympics, was probably on a 'passion high' already)

On a different track..

Loving these 'Piano guys' at the moment. Even if you don't like Coldplay, this is a such a great cover of 'Paradise'...

I must admit to really liking the new koRn song. Longtime fan, and always enjoy seeing what they come up with. Some are calling this 'Popkorn', but who the hell cares! They said (somewhere) it's for the ladies, and they knew it would pyss a lot of their fans off, so they know exactly what they're doing. The video is stunning, too.

^ well I don't care if it's "popKoRn", if it's good it's good. Doesn't have to be heavy. No reason I can't listen to some colorful 80's poprock/new wave like Depeche or Killing Joke, but then be a brutal death metal head the rest of the way.
This vid you posted isn't terrible, there's smt there, I stopped following Korn after "Take a Look", but I know the first 5 by heart.
This doesn't have the quality of the older stuff though, song writing wise and the texture, not nearly as original and the arrangements just aren't comparable...just not comparable to prime Korn:

Speaking of Korn songs, this song is good, but the video is brilliant!

Oh, and in a completely different genre, no idea how this song passed without apparent notice. Truly beautiful, but heart-wrenching, so don't watch/listen if depressed.

Yeah, Issues is a near-perfect album. Still, I'm enjoying the evolution of the band - they never get boring! Always something new they're experimenting with, like the Dubstep. I absolutely loved Path of Totality, and think the dubstep fit right in with their somewhat 'industrial' sound.

BTW - Freak on a Leash is my mobile's ringtone. :)

Yeah, that is pretty good. Never saw the video before, just listened to the CD. Thanks for sharing that!

I'm listening to Steel Panther in the car stereo. Hilarious. It's quite alot of fun watching people walk past when I'm stopped at traffic lights too because, as some some of you will know, the lyrics are utter filth. I do feel guity and usually turn it down if children and their mums are near by. You get some funny looks otherwise when they hear "You got hairs on your nipples and zits on your box but in Oaklahoma City you are considered a fox."

Here's the awesome rock ballad Fat Girl.

shiiiiiiiit, that melody is like a temporal pathway back to my teenage years in a split second !! I couldn't possibly do that (have it as a ringtone), it would bring back a ton of memories and emotions every single time !! :s
very well written song..

It actually makes an excellent ringtone because it's those creepy opening notes (and Jonathan's 'something takes a part of me' opening lyrics) and not harsh at all (like many high-pitched, screechy ringtones), and it's fitting (at least, for me) since I feel like a freak on a leash, dominated by this instant gratification cell/mobile phone world we live in. I HATE my mobile phone!! Yet I'll never be free of it since out of modern necessity I am chained to it.

And yes, I DO keep my mobile on an actual leash. :)

It has never gotten the best of me. I'm a slave to technology for sure, but most def. not mob. phones. I've been without one for the past 3 months...no problem whatsoever, never thought about it once. If you HAVE to talk to someone, call him or contact him online...anyways.

Hah ! I guess Freak on a Leash even "makes sense" then as a ringtone...and yes, those 3 notes in the intro are an ab-so-lute CLASSIC in rock/metal/nu-metal music altogether.
I dunno if you play an instrument, but since we're on the subject: it's a regular minor scale, i.e.: the sad scale. It sounds like they're playing "out of tune" on that melody to create the eerie feel, but they're not. It's one of the two most common scales in music, and they make it sound weird and haunting. Very cool intro.
Oh and, I love the song leading to it too, "It's On". Very intense.

Come on Peat you will NEVER be cool or contribute positively to society in any way if you smoke on even the smallest gram of bong hash. The only people who actively work to make this world a better place are the individuals that have never "tried" a weed blunt or a hemp roach.
That was a normal song for me anyway. Just ask my Co-Captain Cmac how protective I am of my ipod. Another of my favourite songs, often overshadowed by a day like this.
