What are you listening to?

Oh god yes. Atlantic 252 was brilliant! It was earlier than 98 though, i'd go more 92/93

You're probably right tbh. I certainly remember us kids requesting it to be put on during the school bus ride home when I was in the first few years of secondary school. Couldn't remember if it was also listened to during my final few years of primary, probably was then.

If I remember right, when I started secondary school in 96 or 97, we always listened to radio 1 in the morning when Zoe Ball was presenting, and switched to 252 for the trip home. We switched back to radio 1 in the afternoon when Chris Moyles was presenting at that time. I'm not a fan of his any more, but as a teenager, he was great I've gotta admit.

As a side note. I can visually remember a number of songs that really grabbed the attention of the whole bus during that time.
Eminem - My Name Is.
Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch.
Eiffel 65 - Blue (more for how annoying it was).
Green Day - Minority.

I'm sure there's more, but those stick in my mind.

Yeah, he was somewhat funny until he managed to squeeze his head completely up his own a**.

I'm just going on memory of which car had it set as a pretune, and pretty sure it was my mighty 1.3litre Fiesta Sport (which I blew up trying to race a golf GTI (at 70mph of course along the A48(M)).....

Had my most embarassing moment in that car. Was parked up waiting for the GF to finish work, with the windows down, and Red Dragon's Friday night dance program on. I thought I was cool as ***** (obviously I now know I looked like a complete w****r). The embarrassing point came when a record cut off quickly and my car blasted out 'Mothercare is having a sale!', before I could turn it down. (damn commercial radio stations :p)

90% of the artists on this either will be or have already been on NMTB in the Identity Parade round.

Oh and I liked Chris Moyles all the way through his time on Radio 1

There was, lots of one hit wonders but lots of songs I forgot or didn't know was from that decade

Ouch! Just got given three 'Venga Boys' in a row. That's a sign that I need to sleep.

In my boredom I took to youtube and discovered Gregorian, accordking to Wiki Gregorian is a German band headed by Frank Peterson that performs Gregorian chant-inspired versions of modern pop and rock songs. The band features both vocal harmony and instrumental accompaniment.

Utterly astounding, bone chilling at times. Lots of their stuff on youtube

Probably going to be in a minority on this.

If thats the alternative then I'll stick to cheesy. I never got to 3.30, as soon as..whatever that was.. started growling, being sick or whatever it was I turned it off.

Yeah well, I didn't say "go to 3:30" for no reason...

If you do decide to listen to it, be aware it starts up again immediately at 7:50.

Anyone remember this? Was on Tony Hawks Underground and a Mat Hoffman game.

Well, Deltron 3030's next album is coming out in two months! So pumped. There are gonna be appearances by Zach de la Roche, Damon Albarn, the Lonely Island (!?), Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Mike Patton and others.

Not gonna lie, it sounded extremely cheesy...

If you want some good chanting, go to 3:30 in this:
Or, you know, go to a church. ^_^

(Not religious, just brought up Catholic, so I've had the whole hymns and chanting and all that.)

For some reason this popped into my head earlier (was a very young holiday song).

This, along with Transvision Vamp really did make the medium of 'video' more popular.
