Western Force v British & Irish Lions - 5/6/13

Yeah it seems when he gets the gametime he's well up to speed and will be a useful player to have. I still think Healy's the likely starter but anything can happen.
Oh without a doubt Healy is in pole position to start the first test right now. We have quite a few Aus sides to face first, and they could be up to the usual tactics.

Thank you for realizing that this wasn't any sort of Welsh nationalistic flag waving **** as many think.
Yeah Geth had issues this year, but got back hanging off the coat tails of Adam over the course of the 6N but soon relocated a pair of rollerskates that he was fond of at Toulon.

ftfy

Man, what's your problem with Gethin duck? One of Wales' all time great players and you just hang him out to dry after a season where he's been given little opportunities. You constantly state his final season at the Blues as a reason to back-up your opinion that he's now sh*t, without taking into account the calibre of player he had alongside him, not to mention the amount of injuries he suffered.

Given game-time, like he was given during the 6 nations, Gethin is still a great prop.

I would also have Healy as front runner atm, especially considering Jenkins' current injury, but I won't write Jenkins off yet.

This Lions team is sexy. The back row looks unbalanced in some ways, but it's also very close to being the back row that started the first two tests in South Africa. Front row will be really interesting, all have a shout, Cole and Best not exactly been promoting themselves best but may be coming into form at the right moment. Conor Murray outside the confines of Ireland will be interesting.

To me, the most interesting thing is Tuilagi at 12 - not just from a Lions perspective, but also England. He should be able to do it. Whether he does...

I'd say Tuilagi and BO'D will switch around a lot just like BO'D Roberts did in 09. It's just BO'D has number 13 trademarked.

I'm really interested to see how Murray does this tour because while I'm probably his biggest critic for Ireland he does not need to supply quick ball as often with the likes of Tuilagi and North in the backline and it could really suit his game. This added to the fact that he is the best box kicker on tour having got rid of the habit of kicking the ball to far he could be very handy for the Lions.

Nah, Tim Horan is letting him borrow it ;)

You misspelt Will Greenwood.

Best 13

That game was sick

Greenwood literally did though - always wore 13 despite playing inside centre :p

Pity we didn't find out who'd win in 2001.

BO'D's done it a few times as well like the first test in New Zealand Earls wore 12 but was at 13.

EDIT; Just realised this is where we find out who kicks when Sexton and Halfpenny are on the pitch.

Has to be Leigh. Sexton was poor in HK while Leigh has greater range and is the two time 6N top point scorer.

I think most do.

I know plenty who agree with me. One bad night doesn't rule Sexton out. He is an excellent kicker had the same percentage as Halfoenny in the Rabo but took twice as many kicks. He's also the sort of person who loves the extra pressure and won't give it up.

Halfpenny's a fantastic kicker as well and I'd have no problem at all with him kicking but no way is at as clear cut as has to be Leigh.

I'm interested as to how you would know this? And also this....

Johnny Sexton just doesn't have as nice a hammer to unleash.
