Warm Up Match 5: Maori All Blacks v British & Irish Lions (Rotorua)

Te'o hasn't, but then the ball has barely got to the backs. If they don't get the chance with the ball, how can they impress?

Get POM off and wrap him up in cotton wool. Sealed the 6 test shirt for me.

The result is important but we really need to see what more we can do now. Scoring more penalty tries is not going to give you any more information or edge against the All-Blacks. Daly's on now, give him the ball!

Yeah Teo's been good, part of an excellent midfield defence among other things.

Think Henshaw is a much better player, but Teo has been better on this tour. On a Lions tour you don't have time to play the long game, you've got to go with form in the immediate term, is it's not a 2 playmaker model then Teo should start 12.
Henshaw has played most of his stuff outside Bigger with the midweek side, given the chance he'd have been better imo.

Since when does picking up the ball and standing still make ground, ffs. The bane of NH rugby that.

Gatland loves a 'utility' player on the bench. Itoje and POM both cover lock and back row so that could be a factor.

No excuse for that, a complete waste. I really think that when the scrum hasn't moved for 10 seconds but is stable, the referee should tell the team to use it.
