What's the point?. Fair play to the Welsh fans that actually turn up to this one. SA will play their 2nds or 3rds and still put up a cricket score.

Less so now that Wales have one of their best players not available.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Wales will keep this one close, maybe even be in the lead in the final stages, only to come up just short.

Could be completely wrong though.

Don't be silly. We're going to get bent over and severely rogered with no lube. We might keep it close for a bit knowing it's Gatlands last game but I can't see that lasting longer than the first 20/30 mins at best.

Hanekom making his debut on Saturday. The best part of that is no longer having to listen to Welsh commentators repeat 50x a game that he is Welsh-qualified through his maternal grandmother as the Dragons/Cardiff/Scarlets get their pants pulled down.

Ouch

Happy for Hanekom to make his debut. He probably would have made a 23 earlier if not injured. I do however hope there isn't *too* much tinkering.

Yes, we do have some depth in quality but I believe it is to some extent overblown and I can really see a beleaguered Welsh side put us under immense pressure- it certainly wouldn't be the first time a less than fancied Wales pushes us all the way or get one over us.

Edit: Oh, I see the team has already been announced;

5 Aphelele Fassi, 14 Cheslin Kolbe, 13 Jesse Kriel, 12 Damian de Allende, 11 Kurt-Lee Arendse, 10 Jordan Hendrikse, 9 Jaden Hendrikse, 8 Jasper Wiese, 7 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 6 Siya Kolisi (c), 5 Franco Mostert, 4 Jean Kleyn, 3 Thomas du Toit, 2 Johan Grobbelaar, 1 Ox Nche.
Subs: 16 Malcolm Marx, 17 Gerhard Steenekamp, 18 Vincent Koch, 19 Eben Etzebeth, 20 RG Snyman, 21 Cameron Hanekom, 22 Cobus Reinach, 23 Handre Pollard.

Ja, thankfully more of a mix than a full on B-side.

I was going to back Wales for this one then I saw the SA team and bench. I'll support @Welsh Exile this is going to hurt.

The days of Wales matching up well against SA are probably long gone.

As I say, the only thing is that seeing as it's Gatlands last game I can see there being extra emotion from the players but that will only buy us 10 mins or so.

If we keep the loss inside 25 points I think we've done well.

I've seen a report with PSDT at 7 but also with Elrigh Louw at 7. Either way there is enough of a backbone ITO experience to provide a framework for the development players to find shape hopefully.

And I prefer the experience on the bench which means the players who will need experience the most get it in the shape of the responsibility to open the match.

Jordan Hendrikse is probably 4th choice at best (I think picking a rwc squad he'd certainly miss out and you'd rather play either a Damian Willemse or Sanele Nohamba out of position if it came to it and trust the flexibility of those playets) but with Feinberg-Mnogomezulu not traveling why not give him another chance at this stage.

I have SA by 10 or less. Think we will probably lose some shape and won't be able to keep up the intensity that we need at our best. Also, think Wales are due a good game on top of us having struggled to put away Gatland sides since I can remember feels like.

Imagine having Marx, Synman and Etzebeth coming on fresh at 60 min.
