I spoke to a former pro, and international a few weeks ago, he was telling me about his law suit regarding dementia etc... bragging about what he has been promised pay out wise...

He was, seconds earlier snorting a white powder off a toilet seat, and minutes later fighting random on a Neath street.

What more do you need to know about welsh culture, except the fact that our government recently said it wanted to change the behaviour of white people in Wales, which included 'dog free areas'.

Nah accidental head contact not ruining entire games makes sense to me. Full reds for serious misconduct still exist. No one wants to watch a sport that's guided by litigation strategy when drafting its laws.

I think that Kerevi tackle was far more serious misconduct than a punch up (bit more than handbags) between a couple of fit, willing participants.

You know full well that the latter is dealt with more harshly, see that Exeter prop recently getting a 3 game ban for a open handed shove/slap to face during a bit of ****le, and countless more examples outside of that.

There were 3 of them bent over it cubicle wide open, it was in a rugby club, about 1 in 5 were going at it they were hardly hiding lol. I was offered to join, first former pro who ever offered to share hahahahah

When you reduce the line for red, so much so that you have to reduce the impact of red cards you have ****** up.

When rugby is struggling world wide, making the rules more complex every season, and adding more and more cards is only going to hurt

Its still a better outcome than what we had a few years ago where we had 5 minute judicial intervals (no audio live) followed by a red card which ended the game as a serious contest 80% of the time.

A red card should be a big problem to your team if you get one though, that's the point of it. Reducing the reds impact encourages higher risk.

Yeah but we had the escalating number of reds being awarded long before we decided to trial a 20 minute intermediate version.

Honestly, the whole 'we must have full red cards' thing is a position only a rusted on fan who can't see the forest for the trees would take.

Funny thing here @Lé Ddanno is that Gatland's scorched earth policy was pretty much to bin off the experienced players and invest heavily in the next generation whether they're ready or not. You've kind of asked for England to do the same thing.

Taxtically, Gatland is definitely yesterday's man which is further compounded by the weakness of the Welsh domestic game and age grade sides. However, the principle of what he is trying to do with the squad has some logic behind it.

England kept faith with the old guard for too long and now have an experience void in key positions. Ireland are in danger of doing the same. They can't take the same approach as Wales because they won't be allowed to fail as hard for as long (although Borthwick's giving up a good go!).

The difference is that England have good players they aren't picking. With a couple of possible exceptions, Wales don't have that opportunity.

He wants what's best for Welsh rugby apparently so even if the WRU were so incompetent they didn't put a break clause in his contract for being ****, he should just walk.

To be fair, though, walking away from money you're contractually obligated to is a big ask and one I'm not sure I would do, especially if the people who owed me the money was the WRU.

Yeah, no blame on him not walking at all, I wouldn't. But he's dangled this, "I'll leave if I'm pushed" narrative twice. It's airing dirty laundry as a negotiation tactic to get out of a job he either thinks is impossible or one that he's not upto. It undermines Welsh rugby whilst being quite disrespectful to fans who adored him in my opinion.
