TBH the easy part of coaching is knowing what to do. The hard part is communicating that, getting the players to buy into it and then drilling them so they can execute. Having recently been a member of the playing group you're now coaching often makes life more difficult.

Not saying Wilson couldn't do well, just that there shouldn't be an automatic assumption he will. His status as a player will give him some automatic goodwill and respect but that will rapidly evaporate if he's not the man for the job.

He's not capped by SA so would be EQP soon (if he doesn't have an English Granny already - it's not uncommon with SA players)
Though it is a strange one to offer the long term deal to a player close to the end of his career and not really in a position they need to bolster

Good point. Didn't think about the residency angle. Still haven't seen anything from him to make a 3yr deal look like a good idea though, particularly when players like Lockwood, Farrar and Montgomery are pushing for more involvement.

Rumours of Montgommery going to Ealing BPM. Be disappointed if thats the case.
