If ever a perfect fit. Could see him being a fan favourite there. And well a good damn player too.Seen rumours that James Cronin has signed for Tigers no idea on how true that is.
Are there really Chiefs fans who beat this drum? I'm sure I'm missing some, but Simmonds is literally the only English born Chiefs back-rower who comes to my mind in the Premiership era.Chiefs fans screaming crying and punching air right now
No way they'd play a foreign player in their club
Isnt there young Chapstow (ro whatever hes called ) currently playing regularly. Are there really Chiefs fans who beat this drum? I'm sure I'm missing some, but Simmonds is literally the only English born Chiefs back-rower who comes to my mind in the Premiership era.
Capstick*. Tuima and Ewers have also been living in England since 4 and 13 respectively so I hardly think you could call them imports.Isnt there young Chapstow (ro whatever hes called ) currently playing regularly.
Ruben is strictly a Lock have not seen him play flank. I am very suprised by this rumour, absolutely no talk of this whatsover in SA media.Exeter signed SA lock/Flank Ruben van Heerden sounding like it's done
Hayden Wood to wasps a done deal
Then the rest is obvious or doesn't make sense
FDK and LDJ to be announced as leaving this week
Irish drop out of Watson race as Phipps is staying (Makes no sense given positions)
Radradra off to help wage bill makes no sense since marquee player. (Unless they agree to let him go and replace him with someone like Sinckler or Luatua) Pitutau is rumoured to be off so I guess the theroy would be Pitutau and Radradra off say Luatua into marquee player and then his cap would be free for Bristol to cover things.
Sorry, I meant to add "of note". I'm sure there have been a good few English born "bit-part players", Tom Lawday comes to mind.Isnt there young Chapstow (ro whatever hes called ) currently playing regularly.
Tom Johnson was a cracking player...Sorry, I meant to add "of note". I'm sure there have been a good few English born "bit-part players", Tom Lawday comes to mind.
I chose to say English born, just because when I started thinking about it, it struck me as made how few have been English born. Of those I would consider noteworthy, I'd consider Ewers and Johnson to be English.
No less guilty but do have a fair few first xv players who are EQPCapstick*. Tuima and Ewers have also been living in England since 4 and 13 respectively so I hardly think you could call them imports.
But yeah Chiefs are no less guilty of bringing in imports than any other club and the usual media narrative that we're a team of home grown players certainly isn't entirely deserved.
