Transfers rumours

Chiefs fans screaming crying and punching air right now
No way they'd play a foreign player in their club
Are there really Chiefs fans who beat this drum? I'm sure I'm missing some, but Simmonds is literally the only English born Chiefs back-rower who comes to my mind in the Premiership era.

Just Flobalobalobalobalobalob

Always makes a point of complaining about everyone elses imports

Isnt there young Chapstow (ro whatever hes called ) currently playing regularly.

Capstick*. Tuima and Ewers have also been living in England since 4 and 13 respectively so I hardly think you could call them imports.

But yeah Chiefs are no less guilty of bringing in imports than any other club and the usual media narrative that we're a team of home grown players certainly isn't entirely deserved.

Exeter signed SA lock/Flank Ruben van Heerden sounding like it's done
Hayden Wood to wasps a done deal

Then the rest is obvious or doesn't make sense
FDK and LDJ to be announced as leaving this week
Irish drop out of Watson race as Phipps is staying (Makes no sense given positions)
Radradra off to help wage bill makes no sense since marquee player. (Unless they agree to let him go and replace him with someone like Sinckler or Luatua) Pitutau is rumoured to be off so I guess the theroy would be Pitutau and Radradra off say Luatua into marquee player and then his cap would be free for Bristol to cover things.
Ruben is strictly a Lock have not seen him play flank. I am very suprised by this rumour, absolutely no talk of this whatsover in SA media.

Sorry, I meant to add "of note". I'm sure there have been a good few English born "bit-part players", Tom Lawday comes to mind.

I chose to say English born, just because when I started thinking about it, it struck me as made how few have been English born. Of those I would consider noteworthy, I'd consider Ewers and Johnson to be English.

Tom Johnson was a cracking player...

I'd also consider Capstick to be far more than a bit part player. He consistently makes the 23 and gets very regular starts - including starting last year's Prem Final. He's only 22 and Baxter clearly rates him very highly. I think he's going to play a pretty significant part in Chiefs' future.

No less guilty but do have a fair few first xv players who are EQP
Hepburn LCD Williams
Hill Skinner(was EQP before Scotland cap i believe
Ewers Simmonds Capstick(couldnt find another BR whos first XV)
Maunder² Simmonds
Devoto Slade
O Flaherty Hodge(not a fan or first XV tbh) woodburn.

Not all home grown but good number of EQP.

Out if curiosity where is Schickerling from? And is he EQP as not always the same thing as we know.

Skinner was born and bred in England. Schickerling is Namibian I think? Not sure about his EQ status, but he's been with Exeter for a while so might be qualified on residency.

Outside of the first XV, Exeter's squad are mostly English or at least EQ. I'm thinking the likes of Moon, Yeandle, Street, Innard, Keast, H. Skinner etc. most of those are home-grown.

I always presumed Schickerling was a kiwi, cause of the mullet, though thinking about it that doesn't mean much considering the hairstyle choices in the chiefs side

According to the Exeter website he's Namibian and joined them in November 2018. I've lost track of residency rules, but I don't think he's EQ until he hits 5 years now? Unless it's still 3?

Again not transfers but...

Dean Richards is changing roles...

Nick easter told he can leave for free as,defence coach.. Good as our defence is horrific..

Mr walder needs to go aswell..

Maybe our owner Seymour Kurdi has had enough of the rubbish we keep watching on field...

Easter is a funny one. When he didn't do a good job at Quins, there were a few excuses made like 'it's Quins, defence is always a bit optional' or 'he was too close to players'. He then seemingly did a decent job in SA, only to come back and do a pretty poor job with Newcastle. Is he unfortunate or just not very good?

Rumours
2 Prem clubs looking at Cardall
Watson to tigers looking a done deal
London Irish after Basham
Tigers close to signing Olly Cracknell and Phil Cokansiga
BT to sign a 8 year deal with the champions cup…

Josh Basham going back to Irish looks legit. Apparently it was a deal whilst he was here at Durham Uni.

Shame as he's starting to look quite the player at 6.

But we have young Scot u20 flanker Deehan who's an identikit to take over.
