Yeah absolutely. Although he could get way more money elsewhere surely, so in this far fetched situation where we sign him, he's not just after money? Either way I'd take someone who would give everything for Munster like Stander and O'Mahony ahead of a superstar signing.
Besides we'll get plenty more use from guys like Kleyn, Taute and Cloete with a point to prove than we would from a marquee dude.

I've no solid names but from what I'm hearing Munster are doing some work behind IRFU back and aren't as asleep behind wheel as is being made out. Let' not forget Kleyn was signed up before IRFU even sanctioned it and well while I know it's not of that level of deceiving again there is talks supposedly with 2 or 3

I'm a massive fan of Kwagga Smith and would love to see him at Castle Grim. He would tear up the Premiership.
If we're looking to strengthen the pack I'd want more quality in the tight five. We're still too lightweight. Slater has been a good signing (@Tigs Man was right about that) but we don't have much strength in depth.

Lions have confirmed negotiations are underway. Also confirmed he's under contract until November 2018.
Know nothing about him or how highly he's rated. The Lions conceded 10 fewer tries than the next best defence in the South African conference in the 2017 Super Rugby season.

Poor Lions getting mugged by the NH. Ackermann senior and junior @ Glous, FdK @Sale, Kriel, Smith and Rohan Janse van Rensburg all being linked to Prem clubs next season on full contracts.

An offer has gone in to buy him out. He is very highly regarded and is very close to JVG.
Have followed him since Jacques and Rassie arrived last year I kept a close eye on all S.A. franchise coaching for styles etc. His systems seem very good with a mix of aggressiveness but patience. Sucking opponents in then phasing the poach in. He will be good if we can get him as he has alot of similarities to Jacques but also is close to JVG. He can help stabilise the transition too

Think it's more all the unrest over there has alot of guys uneasy. Had coffee with Jaco Taute during week and he was on about S.A. players state of mind coming to Europe. He said any guy with a family sees it not even as a better life but a safer future for kids etc

I'm questioning the players reason to move, just its a shame to see a team like the Lions who was a wonderful story looking like they are going to lose a sizeable chunk of their team to the NH. (That being said i would take Kwagga smith in a heartbeat).
Santiago Socino to Tigers surprised they would be after another hooker, would be a loss for us Falcons, when Lawson does retire what won't be long I can see it been Cooper and Socino fighting it out for the number one starting spot at hooker.

I'm not, Thacker and McGugian are rumoured off, TPN is 32, Youngs 31 this season and he has alot on his plate currently.
Whoever is 3rd choice hooker on paper next season has a big chance of becoming number 1 esp with TPN still having international duties.

Looks like a good acquisition on the face of it, just based on the Lions' success, but I have no idea about him individually.
