John Andress has agreed terms with us. Just need to be approved. 2 year deal.

Yay they're signing a real up and comer who's likely to see Irish game time in Andress.... Nawt
It's just a really petty NIQ ruling in my opinion which is highlighted by forcing a guy like Sagario who might be worth a look out for a guy who will see an equal amount of caps for Ireland. IE zero. Really useless squad player signing imo. Decent project player would be a far better idea, although where we would find one I don't know.

Exactly right. Been saying this for years about overseas rulings.
But he could develop. He seems like quite a driven intelligent guy who manufactured himself a decent pro career. Andress however is in fact worse than what we have, and the guys we have are getting walked around the pitch most weeks. His inclusion is to the benefit of no one. At best he's Pro 12 standard and blocks the development of another prop we'd be forced to develop, which is exactly their argument against an NIQ.No but he's IQ so helps with depth. Earls and Murray got their 3 year deals.
Our Uruguayan may be staying but he takes up an NIQ spot and ideally you want these used on starters. And nobody is saying Andress is signed as a starter.

But if we're signing guys who we accept aren't going to improve and are below first team standard what's the point? I would rather a young guy be brought into the setup and tested than have this guy who has a history with bad attitude and work ethic vegetating in a rotation spot instead. Besides we should have Archer, Ryan and possibly Sagario there next year anyway. And he might be staying. I must stress Andress isn't signed as a new starter. Just as quad depth player in a position we are low on depth. And it isn't signed off yet. Connacht have also offered a 2 year deal but as I said it's just for depth.

I really do feel this would be a huge injustice if (as you say maybe only if) Sagario is shown the door.
Edit: what ever happened to the plan to turn Cronin into a TH actually Muff? Was it a failure?
I'd heard Bath are after Delon.
Would suggest they don't agree with England that Watson's future is 15.
Assume he'll do a Reverse Abendanon, ie in France he's a world beater, at fullback at the Rec a good but limited player who no one seriously considers England material.
To be honest he sounds like another big money signing in a position we don't need. As does Steffon. Are we really turning into the rugby equivalent of a loud arsehole in an expensive suit lighting his cigar off burning £20 note in a bar in the City? Joy
