Transfers rumours

Not convinced. You'd think both Williams and the WRU want him playing 10. How does that work with Preistland there and seemingly still in favour. Unless RP is off somewhere
Wouldn't blame him if he did move off. Being booed by the Millennium must hurt. Especially for a player who has openly talked about seeing a sports psychologist for feeling down after his performances for Wales in the past.

Anyway, it should happen, because Scarlets are getting close to a Williams backline:
9. Rhodri 10. Owen 11. Jordan 12. Scott 13. ? 14. ? 15. Liam

Kaino -----> Leicester Tigers

;) That from a "Guy with a good source"

Basically it sounds like we are def after a big ball carrying back rower, which I do know is fact.

AAAHH! !!! Stop, quit..mm, ehh, STOP buying or being interested in buying good foreign players like that !!! That's OUR job here in France goddamn it !! :ranting:

Has Pearce just been ****, or is he injured again?

Neither he is just extremely raw. He started against Wasps and look great in open play and tackling but is just to Raw atm. Guess he has only play 1 or 2 seasons of union and that was at the level below.

Needs around 2 seasons imo to master the basics of top flight 8 play ATM. Extremely good prospect just needs time.

If Leicester are looking for a big 6/8 I can see maybe Gibson playing at 7 more if Salvi was to go.

The future for 8 is extremely good
with Pearce and Milne just need someone for 2 or so seasons who could maybe cover multiple areas in the back row.

Hadn't realised he'd played so little Union... thought he was 50/50.

You are right he played Union till he was 19 for Nottingham academy (Didn't know that), then moved to hull Rugby league.

Suppose the change of speed of rugby from 19 onwards for a pro rugby shows ATM.

Either way he was very raw.

In the TRP article which says that Gopperth is off to Wasps, it also says that Quins were interested... which is possibly interesting to note r.e. Cipriani.

Believe in it when you see either Munster, Northampton, or Hanrahan say its done - and not before. Whenever a foreign club is linked with an Irish player, there's a damned good chance they're mainly there to illustrate a few points to their home province, who would be their favoured choice.

Would be a very interesting signing if you managed it mind.

Mouritz both leaving saracens for natal sharks! Could open up a move for etzebeth

Giant Bruno aka Eben Etzebeth, after the World Cup. To you know where.
Surely one piece of Boudjellal's 'Fantastic Four' project.

Source: Var Matin.

Hands off Etzebeth. WPRU say he is contracted till end 2016 unless Boudjellal is planning on buying him out. I certainly hope not as we've been bleeding talent; both SA and WP/Stormers.

Anyway I don't know if he is a good direct replacement for Botha if that is what they want. I don't see Etzebeth as a 'hard man' as such. He is actually quite the line-out operator- I'd argue best no.2 jumper in the world (double figures for L/O stolen in 2014 and not even at his best) and has some pace for a big man and is better suited to taking the ball up in wider channels as he runs too upright for tight exchanges. He was a winger at school so that kinda makes sense- his running style.

Indeed.

He'd already be a significant upgrade over the Lamb/Myler dross Northampton supporters have had to live with in recent years. Never mind what he would become in a few years.

Said this a few days ago but it's far from done. Alot of stuff has to be sorted for JJ to stay though and money isn't issue let's just say.
Fintan Dury, his agent has to stop being a clown, Axel and Staff have to stop being stubborn and JJ has to get his part right too.

And Peat trust me this ain't like the rest, it's a bit more complicated.

It's like you're dangling a carrot in front of us! So curious as to what you know that we don't. :p

Add yourself but 1 of our best players wasn't introduced vs Clermont. But it's not 1 way traffic. As I said it's 2 way traffic here and stubborness

Itoje will be used instead of bringing anyone in has been said apparently. 20 years old, 17st and is the U20 England captain. He will be a massive star (literally at 6 foot 5) for Saracens and England, might even be England captain by the 2019 RWC.
