Is he any good ? Never seen him play

Solid might do a good job. We've got Clark Laidlaw as are new attack coach for next season and Grant Doorey as defensive coach both good appointments.

Well he was an All Black, so he's not going to be terrible. In his limited performances for the All Blacks he actually was really good.

He's probably best as a 1st 5/8th, but he's stuck behind Daniel Carter and Colin Slade for the Crusaders. He's generally a pretty reliable goal kicker, but doesn't always run a backline super smoothly (although this could also be because Todd Blackadder can't coach a backline to save his life). He's only just turning 26 next week, so he could be a long term option for Bayonne, while his goal kicking probably won't hurt their constant relegation battle.

Bayonne recruiting well!! Let us hope there is a get out clause if they are relegated this year......although looking less and less likely with victories such as that over Stade France!!

Sisi --> Irish one year loan
Lelemailanga Montpellier prop --> Woucs

No surprise in that we have signed the big South African lock come Flanker Michael Rhodes.

I'd call him an out-and-out work horse blindside as is. Real pity to see him go TBF. I'd rather lose one of Burger, Kolisi or Carr as we have a lot of ball carriers but can tend to be out grafted at the breakdown without Rhodes and a few others in our pack. If Vergelegen leavingiis a done deal then we are very suddenly very light in the back row..

I haven't seen him play but I know his stats are 28/32 tackles according to Opta so far. So what will he bring to our team ?

Another salary to go on the payroll

Not really a transfer as such but Bryan Redpath has left his position at Sale Sharks. He is expected to take the Leeds head coach position but this hasn't been confirmed yet.

Bit weird to see him leave before the end of the season, especially is Yorkshire is his destination, as they're unlikely to make the Championship playoffs.
Makes me think that the rumours of him to Brizzle have more substance to them, as they like to get their new signings in for the playoff run.

As what though? Robinson is DOR, Holley is Head Coach. Where would he fit in

Dunno, just what people were saying before.
Though I've head Robinson wants out, despite his long contract.

Yorkshire does seem more likely now, though.

I heard the opposite. Ive seen somewhere him (not directly quoted though) saying he's here for the long haul and he wants to turn his job in Bristol to be his top achievement in his off field career. We have the potential and the setup to do that

I'd say Leeds are the best bet for Redpath. Theyre a team that should be doing much better than they are, considering they were minutes from beating LW in the playoff semi's last season. Theyre a Champ top 4 team, at least, thats massively underachieving

BJ Botha has signed a 6 month contract with Munster. I love the man dearly but he's on his way out.
